Many WWE superstars also find great success outside of the ring, including in the movie industry or as a professional athlete.

For example, The Rock, Batista and John Cena have starred in numerous blockbuster films. Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle were national champions, while Baron Corbin and Goldberg also had brief careers in the NFL.

But Glenn Jacobs (Kane), is among the few who can brag about a Hall of Fame caliber career in the ring, as well as a successful tenure in politics. The Big Red Machine was elected as the new mayor of Knox County, Tennessee last year.

During an interview on Busted Open Radio (h/t Andrew Ravens of Wrestling News), Kane was questioned about the biggest misconception regarding Vince McMahon. The Knox County mayor simply explained that the WWE chairman's uncaring and cold reputation isn't deserved.

"I think is that Vince is this heartless person that takes advantage of everyone, and uses people until they are all used up then discards the husk of the human being that he has pulled all of the talent and energy out of.

That is frankly not the case at all. Does Vince McMahon make business decisions? Yes. One time I told him this to his face, I was like, 'The one thing that you are bad at as a businessman is that you give people too many chances."

They stab you in the back and then you turn around and bring them back.' In some cases, it’s because he feels that he can make money with them. In other cases, he just has some sort of emotional bond or something like that. It’s loyalty, it really is, almost to a fault with him. That is the biggest misconception."

On top of that, Kane added that he hasn't always agreed with some of Vince's decisions. But the main point here is that Kane believes we need to have a better understanding of Vince as a businessman and as a person in general.

Vince has made a lot of enemies during his tenure as the WWE chairman, but there are always two sides to a story. We've heard countless superstars rant about Vince and the company after their departures, but Vince always has a strong reason for moving on from certain talents.

He had difficult working relationships with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior and Bret Hart, among others. The same cannot be said for Kane, who has been loyal to Vince and WWE for over two decades. As such, it's no surprise that he tried painting a better picture of his boss.

We Should Listen Closely To Kane

Even if some wrestlers and fans don't always agree with how Vince McMahon operates, we should be listening to what Kane has to offer. The chairman does what's best for business, rather than what's best from an emotional standpoint. That's why the WWE is the world's greatest promotion, and it's why Vince deserves the benefit of the doubt. You don't have to like all of his decisions, but Kane offered a much clearer image of McMahon, and everyone should try to understand it.
