An interesting story developed last week that described an incident in a Nashville bar between WWE Superstar and Global Force Wrestling (GFW) star Karen Jarrett. The story went that Jarrett wanted an autograph for her son and Strowman not realizing who she was, turned her away. Once denied, Jarrett cut a shoot promo on Strowman in front of the entire crowd, name dropping Kurt Angle as her ex-husband and prompting Strowman to apologize. Rumors were Jarrett was so loud and so upset, she was going to tell Angle, to which Strowman dropped to his knees and begged for forgiveness.

It was one of the wackier stories to hit the wrestling news sheets and it seemed extremely far fetched until a number of sources quoted similar accounts of the incident. During a GFW conference call on Monday, Aug. 2, 2017, Jarrett was asked about the story and shed new light on the rumors.

Apparently, both Strowman and Jarrett were in on the charade and playing a game. Jarrett said, “Oh my goodness, I can clear the air. It was a silly incident where you have two people in the wrestling business playing their characters, being silly and it got blown way out of proportion."

She went on to add that the fact both she and Strowman's joke caught so much attention was both shocking and hysterical. She was frankly amazed that people would think that she would act in such a manner or that Strowman would respond in such a way.  "It's silliness. It's the wrestling business, we had fun with it and somebody took it and turned it into something more than it was."

Jarrett completely shooting down this rumor leads to one of two possibilities. Option A is that she's embarrassed by what took place and this is an easy way to discuss the topic and get people to drop it. Option B is more likely. This was never a disagreement between two people over something as simple as an autograph.

It's much more likely that Jarrett is telling the truth in that Strowman and Jarrett were playing around. Perhaps it started by her asking for an autograph or it's possible Strowman even turned her down, but logic suggests that once the two parties realized what was going on, they worked it out and it became a funny side joke.

After all, this is the wrestling business. The entire premise is to believe insanely outlandish story lines and this would rank right up there.
