NXT UK Champion Kay Lee Ray Is The Final Member Of Shayna Baszler's WarGames Team

Kay Lee Ray made a surprise appearance on NXT, revealing herself to be the fourth and final member of Shayna Baszler's WarGames team.

Certain members of the NXT roster are in for a pretty busy weekend come November 23 and 24, 2019. Not only will they be competing at NXT TakeOver: WarGames on Saturday night, but also during Survivor Series the following day. Shayna Baszler is one of the Superstars already booked in to perform double duty that weekend.

The Queen of Spades has the biggest match of her career to date to look forward to at Survivor Series. A triple threat including WWE's two other major Women's Champions, Becky Lynch and Bayley. With that match in mind, Baszler will want three women on her WarGames team who will be able to do the bulk of the work, keeping her fresh.

So selecting who she will enter the cage with is not something Baszler will have taken lightly. Io Shirai and Bianca Belair were already confirmed to be members of Team Baszler. In fact, the former won a ladder match against Mia Yim on this week's NXT to gain her team the WarGames advantage. She needed an assist from a wildcard though, and that wildcard turned out to be Kay Lee Ray.

For those unfamiliar with Ray, she is the NXT UK Women's Champion. Ray popped up to prevent Yim from climbing the ladder, thus allowing Shirai to win the match. It was then revealed that Ray will be the fourth and final member of Team Baszler, leaving the NXT Women's Champion with quite the quartet heading into WarGames. One that includes two titleholders versus a foursome with no gold between them.

That opposing foursome is made up of captain Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Yim, and Tegan Nox. There were rumors that Dakota Kai was going to defect and side with Baszler after she was overlooked by Ripley in favor of Yim, but that hasn't happened. There's still a very real chance Kai shows up at WarGames to cost Team Ripley the match. We shall see.
