Kevin Owens certainly knows how to create a stir on social media and he has been doing so more than ever over the last few days.

What on Earth is going on with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and their current employment with WWE? After a long and dragged out angle involving Shane McMahon, interest in the two of them was pretty low but this latest twist has got a lot of fans wondering exactly where this 'firing' is going to lead.

What we knew long before this angle began is that Owens is a terrific talent, both inside and outside the ring, and he commits to his work. That has never been more true than it is right now. KO has changed his name back to Kevin Steen on Twitter, his real name that he wrestled under before becoming a WWE Superstar, and has even started selling some of his old Steen t-shirts.

The Prizefighter shows no sign of slowing when it comes to selling this angle either. As those of you who watched Raw this week will know the easy out for this story line ran into a roadblock. Most of us assumed that Owens and Zayn would simply be fired from SmackDown Live and be hired by Raw instead. That didn't happen though. The two of them had to compete against each other for the spot and since they drew neither of them got it.

That has forced Owens, or Steen, to clearly start looking elsewhere if he wants to continue wrestling. Earlier this week British promotion Progress Wrestling posted a screenshot revealing that KO had started following them informing him that their 'DMs are open'. Since then though Owens has unfollowed everybody on his Twitter account and has also either deleted or hidden all of his previous tweets.

Clearly when you give Owens the right tools he can produce gold, and evidently those tools don't even necessarily need to include a wrestling ring. Progress is affiliated with WWE of course but it is still a pretty cool thing to see, especially considering how big a promotion it has become in such a short space of time. Who knows, since Progress Wrestling does have a working relationship with WWE perhaps something has been worked out that will lead to Owens and Zayn actually competing for the UK promotion.
