Speaking with Mike Jones of DC101 to promote a WWE live event in Washington, DC, WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens talked about many things, including how he was treated by Daniel Bryan.
We all know that who someone is when the cameras are all turned off isn't always who they appear to be when the cameras are on. So, the cynical part of me was worried that Owens might have bad things to say about Bryan. Thankfully, that was definitely not the case as Owens said that Bryan always treated him with respect:
"From the moment he met me on the independent scene when I was just, for lack of better terms, just a dumb kid starting out, trying to learn how things work in this industry, he was a well respected top guy and he didn’t have to be nice to me. Plenty of people back then weren’t nice to me but he was. In his position, he didn’t need to go out of his way to be nice to the younger kids and the guys coming up but he was and that was something I always appreciated as much as all the incredible matches he put on for fans all over the world."
