Killian Dain Adds Fuel To The Rumors That Kevin Owens Is NXT-Bound

There's talk that Kevin Owens will be on NXT next week following his "firing." KO has added fuel to those rumors via a short tweet.

The angle between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens is one that will seemingly never end. Even before the latest go-around between the two, the pair were at each other's throats back in 2017. That first chapter came to an end inside Hell In A Cell, and it seems as if this latest feud might finish up in the same way.

That's due to the fact that the next PPV after Clash Of Champions is Hell In A Cell. However, between now and then, Owens is going to need to figure out how to get his job back. He was 'fired' by McMahon on SmackDown this week after all. Before he heads back to the blue brand though, it seems highly likely KO will be paying NXT a visit.

Before SmackDown had even gone off the air, the cogs in some fans' minds started to turn. NXT debuts live on USA next week, and Owens played a big part in building the brand. Although he was only NXT Champion for a short time, KO's time with the title was incredibly impactful. He even brought it to the main roster with him and defeated John Cena while it was in is possession.

Whether Owens will be on NXT next week or not, he is leaning into the rumors. Earlier this week, the fired Superstar tweeted "14-24-20." On first glance, it looks like a date, but we quickly realized that it couldn't be. A fan then pointed out what it might mean. That the numbers could represent letters of the alphabet. The 14th letter is N, 24th is X, and yep, you guessed it, the 20th letter of the alphabet is T.

Another Superstar who recently returned to NXT has also gotten in on the fun. Killian Dain replied to the tweet with "12-15-12." For those who can't be bothered to crack the code, that translates to L-O-L. Unlike Owens, Dain's inclusion on Wednesday's show has been confirmed. He will compete against Matt Riddle in a Street Fight during the second hour of the show.
