Kofi Kingston, along with New Day, was a guest on After The Bell with Corey Graves and he revealed why he doesn't deserve a WWE Title rematch.

While discussing his WWE Championship run and his loss to Brock Lesnar at the debut of Friday Night SmackDown on Fox, Kingston explained that he appreciates the passion from fans when it comes to being upset about his loss, but he doesn't quite understand it. Saying "it is what it is", his approach is that he has a job and part of that job is to show up and do what's asked.

What was asked that night was for Kofi to lose his much-deserved championship in what was likely record time. This came after he was the first-ever African-born champion and had spent over a decade in WWE trying to get a singles push. Most former champions are entitled to a rematch after losing the belt but Kofi doesn't think he falls in that group.

Kofi has said he's moved on to other things and doesn't feel he has the right to ask for or demand a rematch because he lost the title in eight seconds. He said, "What am I supposed to do, say, 'Well you got me this time, but I'll get you next time." Kingston doesn't find that believable considering how easily Lesnar won the championship in the first place.

Kingston Does Deserve Another Shot

While Kingston's logic does make some sense, we don't agree. There have been stranger reasons for WWE performers to get a title opportunity and regardless of how quickly he lost, there's no reason to say he only lost because he was caught by surprise or taken off guard. That sort of thing happens all the time.

Not to mention, Kingston is easily one of the most popular and deserving stars in WWE. There was debate about whether or not he could carry WWE as the titleholder but he certainly had the backing of the fans.
