Kofi Kingston has won just about everything there is for him to win in WWE apart from the King of the Ring crown, and there's very good reason for that.

2019 has been a blockbuster year for Kofi Kingston. Well, apart from his super quick loss to Brock Lesnar during SmackDown's FOX debut, but let's just ignore that. Kingston rode a wave of momentum into WrestleMania where he would face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. It was there that he became a World Champion for the first time in WWE.

Kingston made his debut on WWE's main roster in early 2008 and most fans would argue he should have been a World Champion long before now. On the bright side, Kingston had won pretty much everything there is to win in WWE prior to his World Title win. Well, there are a couple of things still missing from his resume.

Kingston has never been Universal Champion, still hasn't won a Royal Rumble despite his annual acrobatics, and is yet to be crowned King of the Ring. As far as that last one goes, chances are Kingston will never be able to tick that box. There's a good reason for that too, as the former champion pointed out on New Day's new Feel The Power podcast.

While discussing the day Big E was told he'd be losing his last name, he and Xavier Woods asked Kingston if he had ever been at risk of the same happening to him. Kingston replied no, but did discuss a time he almost became King. " I was in danger of becoming the King Of The Ring at one point which would have been King Kofi Kingston which again would not have been a good thing because of the acronym," Kingston explained.

For those of you still confused, had Kingston become King of the Ring, his initials would have spelled KKK, so really not good on so many levels. Unfortunately for Kingston, barring a name change, that means the King of the Ring is one title in WWE he will never hold. Unless WWE drops the Kingston from his name and just calls him Kofi, which is entirely possible.
