Kurt Angle has welcomed a new member into his family, with the former WWE superstar and his wife bringing their adopted son to the United States from Bulgaria.

The retired wrestler had apparently been trying to bring the kid over to America for over a year after they adopted him in his native country but was hindered by lots of paperwork and red tape. On Wednesday, however, Angle announced that he and Giovanna had finally gotten everything sorted.

The WWE producer took to Instagram to make the announcement, sharing a picture of the three of them on an airplane bound for the US with the following caption: “After 15 long months of paperwork, phone calls and visits, we are finally bringing our adopted son home from Bulgaria #welcomehomejoseph."

Joseph is Angle's sixth child and his fourth with Giovanna. The retiree has two kids with his first wife, Karen.

This comes across as news that would excite Rusev. The WWE performer recently gained his American citizenship after 14 years and, while he might be jealous it only took Joseph 15 months, he can't be mad at the fact that a child from his country is getting an opportunity to live and ultimately work in the US.

Maybe We See Joseph In The Ring?

WWE has been using kids for stories nowadays, with Rey Mysterio Jr's son Dominic already getting involved in a major bit of kayfabe. Maybe, just maybe, we get to see young Joseph in action soon.

Of course, that's quite far-fetched. But you never know with WWE, plus Kurt is now a producer with the company following his retirement from in-ring competition earlier this year.

In all seriousness, though, this is quite a remarkable gesture from the Angle family. It's not like they don't already have kids and that they're willing to care for a young foreigner speaks to their generosity.
