Kurt Angle may have only wrestled a handful of matches since his WWE return but he still believes he has what it takes to be a World Champion.

No matter how many wrestlers return to WWE despite the issues they've had in the past with the company and Vince McMahon, we are still almost always excited and surprised when those comebacks happen. The likes of Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, and perhaps Hulk Hogan for some people. In recent history though, there was no return with as much potential as Kurt Angle's.

The Olympic gold medalist returned to WWE in 2017 after more than a decade away so that he could be rightfully inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Most of the time, WWE only inducts wrestlers into its HOF once their in-ring careers have come to an end. Angle insisted that his wrestling days were not over, and he has proved that. His matches for WWE since his return may have been few and far between, but he is not retired.

In fact, Angle believes that he is still capable of being a WWE Champion. The Raw General Manager performs quite a few Q&As on his Facebook and during the most recent session, he was asked if he has another run as WWE Champion left in him. Angle replied "I hope so. That's up to the powers that be. I'm healthy right now. Ready to go if I get called on."

The last time Angle competed in the ring was when he teamed up with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34. It should also be noted that he is yet to have a one-on-one matchup since his WWE return. Despite his age and past health issues though he has more than held his own and clearly thinks he could become a top champion in WWE for a seventh time.

While Angle may feel healthy and ready to go, whether WWE agrees with him is another thing entirely. Just look how long it took Daniel Bryan to convince the powers that be to let him wrestle again. Angle may not have the same issues as Bryan, but he has broken his neck a number of times. At the moment it seems as if WWE is only okay with Angle competing in the ring with others there to support him.
