LaVar Ball In Negotiations With WWE For Tonight's Monday Night RAW

LaVar Ball, the retired football player and father of the widely recognized basketball player Lonzo Ball is rumored to be appearing on tonight's (June 26th) episode of Monday Night RAW, which airs from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The WWE have expressed interest in convincing LaVar to appear on tonight's episode of RAW, which is Brock Lensar's final scheduled appearance before the Great Balls Of Fire PPV airing on July 9th from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Despite being well past his football days, there are not many parents in athletics who are more widely discussed than the controversial LaVar Ball. Ball has been nearly everywhere the past while, most recently at the 2017 NBA Draft which took place last Thursday in Brooklyn. The results of the Draft brought a ton of buzz about LaVar who had accurately predicted that the Los Angeles Lakers would pick his son during the NBA Draft.

Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin had stated that although the WWE have not confirmed whether LaVar will appear on tonight's edition of RAW, Satin mentioned that "things are looking good" - though nothing is confirmed as mentioned. However, Ryan had stated that LaVar was reportedly discussing the WWE on his family's livestream from the 2017 NBA Draft.

Whether or not LaVar Ball appears on RAW tonight, it is unknown up to this point what role Ball would fill at the show. CageSideSeats is predicting that LaVar, the "Big Baller Brand" would be involved in a "throwaway" segment with none other than the Titus Brand, Titus O'Neil. They believe that this segment will act as a way for LaVar to garner worldwide recognition on national cable television (all while wearing Big Baller Brand from head to toe) as well as for some spotlight to be focused in on "The Titus Brand" and his protegees, Apollo Crews and Akira Tozawa.

If the rumors prove to be correct and we all witness a WWE appearance from LaVar Ball, we can expect to see a slight ratings spike for this episode of RAW. Last week, the June 19th episode of Monday Night RAW, garnered a viewership increase of 22% from the previous week's (June 12th) episode.

The June 19th episode of RAW drew in 3.102 million viewers. Tonight, with an appearance scheduled to be made by the "Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar and a potential rumored appearance of LaVar Ball, it looks as if the WWE are trying to find ways to keep their ratings and viewership up for this week. We will just have to wait and see if the WWE's attempts in keeping their viewers engaged tonight will prove to be fruitful.
