The most powerful company in all of wrestling, generally speaking, the WWE has been able to choose among the best wrestlers in the world when they decide who to give contracts. Despite that, at times the company puts a higher premium on things other than the ability to compete in the ring which has allowed some less than stellar wrestlers to work for them.

A company that we all know can be very cutthroat at times, when the WWE decides it no longer has a use for a wrestler they release them from their contract without hesitation. While that may seem heartless, at least most wrestlers leave the company as a much bigger star than they were before their singing and lots of work on the independent scene awaits them. However, in the case of those performers that were never very good in the ring, they may leave the business or promoters may not want to book them anyway. Realizing all of this inspired us to put together this list that looks at what the twenty-five least talented WWE performers of the last ten years are up to now.

In order for someone to be considered for possible inclusion on this list, they first and foremost need to be a WWE employee that worked in the ring. For the purposes of this list, it makes no difference how many WWE matches they took part in as long as it was enough for viewers to get an idea of how good they were. Other than that, the only other requirement is that they need to have worked for the company after January 1st, 2008.

25 Ryback

via rickey.org

Flashy enough to get big reactions from the crowds at one point in his WWE run, Ryback even wrestled for the WWE Championship. However, the company could only have him run over everyone for so long and as soon as he began losing matches his deficiencies in the ring became obvious. Never able to regain the momentum he once had, in late 2016 Ryback and the WWE parted ways. Since then booked for some independent wrestling shows, Ryback also hosts a podcast named Conversation with the big guy and he also is involved with the company Feed Me More Nutrition.

24 Eva Marie

via twitter.com

Hired by the WWE to take part in their “reality” show Total Divas, Eva Marie was brought in to show how someone with no experience would do in the company. A gorgeous woman that came off like a star outside the ring, sadly that would fade away once she stepped through the ropes. Eventually released in 2017, since then she has focused on things like her acting career and her fashion business ventures. In addition to that, she also revealed her struggles with alcoholism and has tried to inspire others dealing with that awful disease.

23 Kevin Nash

via twitter.com

An entry that might surprise some, Kevin Nash is a multiple time world champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, he owes all that to having a cool vibe to him since he has always sucked in the ring. That is why his last real WWE run in 2011 was such a failure, since he seemed lame when he shared the ring with CM Punk. Despite that, Nash still makes sporadic appearances for the company from time to time. On top of that, he acts in movies regularly and still makes independent wrestling appearances.

22 Alex Riley

via IMDb.com

One-half of an extremely detestable duo in the WWE, Alex Riley was a pretty great sidekick to The Miz during his WWE Championship run. However, once they were broken up, Riley was sent to fend for himself in NXT and never recovered. Then, after a lackluster run as a wrestler down there, the company put him on the announce table before ultimately releasing him after a short return to in ring competition. A pretty happy dude these days judging from social media, Riley now has a fledgling acting career going, which was highlighted by an appearance in the show Glow.

21 Solomon Crowe

via Mandatory.com

Never known first and foremost for his in-ring ability, the wrestler formerly known as Sami Callihan was given the new name of Solomon Crowe in the WWE and received a hacker gimmick, As cool as that might have sounded at first, his character never went anywhere, his finishing move looked awful and he failed to impress. Released in late 2015, he has wrestled for Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling under his Callihan name. However, it is an incident in which he accidentally hit Eddie Edwards with a baseball bat directly to the face that he is best known for today.

20 Jillian Hall

via fite.tv

Someone that was given one awful gimmick after another, when Jillian Hall first debuted on WWE TV she had a huge “growth” on her face. Incredibly, that storyline was made even worse because the “growth” looked cheap and fake. Thankfully, The Boogeyman bit it off her but then the WWE had her come to the ring weekly and sing horribly. Released in 2010 after a horrible run of characters and matches, in the years since then Hall has gone on to make appearances at various wrestling signings. On top of that, she also garnered some headlines for getting a DUI.

19 Vladimir Kozlov

via twitter.com

At one time considered a can’t miss prospect, Jerry Jarrett brought Vladimir Kozlov to the WWE even though his son was a power broker in TNA at the time. Given a pretty big push upon his WWE debut, before long it seemed like the WWE realized he was somewhat limited. As a result, Kozlov is remembered best as the comedy sidekick of Santino Marella. Gone from the WWE as of 2011, since then he has lost an MMA fight, created Quasar Entertainment, and has been a stunt double and acted in movies, including one that starred The Rock.

18 Mike Knox

via pinterest.com

One of a slew of wrestlers that joined the WWE’s main roster when the company began promoting its version of ECW, Mike Knox was blessed with size and a fearsome look. Given a lot of chance, it was obvious that most of the WWE’s faith in him was based on his look, considering how unimpressive his matches and promos can be. Released from his contract in 2010, since then he has gone by the name Knux and worked for companies like TNA, where he was a part of Aces & Eights, and Inoki Genome Federation.

17 Brodus Clay

via twitter.com

Chosen to compete in the fourth season of the competition version of NXT, Brodus Clay was the last person eliminated and seemed to be poised for big things. As such, it was a real shock when he made his RAW debut and instead of being packaged as a monster he was a fun loving dancer. Entertaining in that role, things ran their course and he left the company fold in 2014. Since then a part of TNA off and on, where he wrestled as Tyrus, he has also become a regular part of Fox News’ The Greg Gutfeld Show.

16 Ashley Massaro

via twitter.com

A winner of the WWE Diva Search, at first fans, were heavily invested in Ashley Massaro. However, when she was signed by the company and given a role on television she had no experience in the ring. Never able to make up for that by learning the craft, she stuck around the company until from 2005 until 2008 but wasn’t a part of any well done storylines. Still making occasional appearances on the independent circuit, she underwent kidney surgery recently and has joined a class action lawsuit against the WWE.

15 Kevin Thorn/Mordecai

via twitter.com

A character the WWE had big plans for, Mordecai was a zealot that was set up to feud with The Undertaker, a storyline that never came to fruition. Instead, years later he was repackaged as Kevin Thorn, a gothic performer whose entrances were better than his promos or matches. Released by the WWE in 2009, after he was demoted back down to the company’s developmental promotions, it was an inauspicious exit for Thorn. Continuing to wrestle on independent shows from time to time, Thorn has also become a real estate agent that goes by his birth name, Kevin Fertig.

14 Summer Rae

via Pinterest.com

Most people don’t know it but prior to the WWE, Summer Rae played as a quarterback in the Lingerie Football League. Despite that, it is abundantly clear that her athletic skills were more applicable to dancing as Fandango’s partner than anything else she did in the WWE. Released by them in 2017, that came after a year in which she never appeared on any shows put on by the company. Still busy since then, she takes part in a lot of photo shoots, has been seen on shows like Game Pass Live and was booked by Battle Championship Wrestling.

13 Michael Tarver

via twitter.com

Chosen to be a part of the competition version of NXT, Michael Tarver was the first person to be cut from the show which said a lot about how he was perceived. That said, he was fortunate enough to be a founding member of The Nexus, a faction that cut a path of destruction through the WWE. However, Tarver was not as talented as his fellow members and his time in that spotlight was short. Released in 2011, on the independent scene Tarver recently reunited with some Nexus members and he also is trying to make it as a rapper.

12 The Great Khali

via instagram.com

A one-time World Heavyweight Champion in the WWE due to his size. The Great Khali lumbers around the ring and every movement looks painful for him. Not at all his fault, as his body has been ravaged by the effects of being so big, Khali has a lot of heart but limited ability. Not resigned when his contract lapsedin 2017, he still has a real presence to him and has been brought back for a pair of WWE appearances in the last year. A giant star in the Indian market, Khali created Continental Wrestling Entertainment in his homeland to take advantage of that.

11 Mason Ryan

via sportingnews.com

Another wrestler on this list that was signed because of how huge his muscles were, it seems as though Vince McMahon saw dollar signs in Mason Ryan and pushed him too soon. Not at all ready for it when he was added to the Nexus out of nowhere, he was used as the group’s muscle but his inability was pretty obvious. Never able to rebound from that perception, after he was sent back down to developmental he was released in 2014. Thankfully, he has found happiness since then as a Cirque du Soleil dancer.

10 Hornswoggle

via twitter.com

Part of the WWE’s main roster for just over a decade, over those years Hornswoggle interacted with stars like Vince McMahon, D-Generation X, and Fit Finlay. Not hired for his in-ring work, his only well received WWE match was his “WeeLC” bout with El Torito. Released from his contract in mid-2016, Swoggle worked for TNA briefly and as recently as April of this year he competed in the WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble match. Also a part of many indie wrestling shows, his schedule now allows him to spend a lot of time with his son as well.

9 Enzo Amore

via Deskgram.com

Seemingly poised for huge things in the WWE at one point, Enzo Amore and his tag team partner Big Cass were one of the most popular acts in NXT. Brought up to the main roster, the pair fell short of expectations and before too long were split up. Eventually made the star of 205 Live, Amore was even Cruiserweight Champion when he was released from his contract amid controversy in early 2018. Eventually cleared of wrongdoing by the police, Amore is set to make his return to wrestling at an independent event and has released some awful rap music.

8 Cameron

via instagram.com

Part of the most recent season of Tough Enough, this young woman was the first eliminated and embarrassed herself in front of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Far from the best start to her WWE career, she was still hired and became Cameron, a backup dancer for Brodus Clay. Only a part of a handful of matches on the main roster, in one case she even tried to pin someone whose stomach was to the mat. Released in 2016, since then she was a part of MTV’s The Challenge and she also tries to sell a supplement through her social media.

7 Tyler Reks

via twitter.com

The kind of wrestler that relies on their look, Tyler Reks came off like star while he walked to the ring. However, once the bell rang it quickly became clear that his grappling game was lacking. A part of the main roster from 2009 until 2012, during most of that time Reks barely appeared on TV so when he quit the WWE it made sense. Evidently deciding to mostly leave the business due to the birth of his son, he has gone on to create Body Spartan, a fitness website that helps motivate people to get fit and sells nutrients.

6 Rosa Mendes

via twitter.com

One of those rare WWE performers that manages to be a part of the roster for many years despite rarely having a defined role, Rosa Mendes was under contract for more than a decade but barely seen. When she was used it was mostly as a valet but she did take part in some matches herself, although they never impressed audiences. Opting to retire from the WWE after a brief run on Total Divas and the birth of her child, she appeared for MCW alongside Adam Rose but otherwise has focused on her role as a mom.
