On April 27, 2018, WWE will present the Greatest Royal Rumble on the WWE Network live from Saudi Arabia. The show is expected to be a massive undertaking for the company, early shots of the stage production have leaked and because the WWE is putting a lot of weight into how well the show does, the company has included a number of one-night only performers. Many of these names are names fans will recognize.

While the full list of wrestlers performing hasn’t been revealed, there are snippets of information making its way out into the public that show a variety of WWE Legends and former Superstars scheduled to take part.

A recent poster revealed names like Mark Henry, The Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, The Great Khali and Shane McMahon will be a part of the event. Another rumor was that WWE asked Stone Cold Steve Austin but he declined.

While the poster features 62 performers, one thing to note is that many of these wrestlers, (at least 10) will be competing in other matches and likely not a part of the Rumble match itself. That leaves a lot more room for other legends to still be invited. That list may include names that recently debuted during the Superstar Shake-up but may also include names from the past.

Would someone like Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan or The Rock return for one night to be a part of one of the biggest shows on international soil? We have no authority that any of those names are coming, but one can wish and WWE might be asking. Instead, WWE fans may realistically get someone like MVP, the Hurricane or JBL.

There is still time for WWE to continue to announce participants. The show plans to be one of the biggest events WWE holds all year, being compared only by WrestleMania itself. As more legends and former stars are announced we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
