Hours after being granted his release by WWE, Luke Harper has made his first public comments and he had to censor himself because he was so excited.

Let's put it this way, Harper isn't sad that he's no longer with WWE.

Take one good look at his Twitter page and you'll see row upon row of posts that read, "It's Sunday/Saturday/Friday. You know what that means." But, if you take a closer look at his profile description, you may notice a change since the news broke that he had been granted his release from WWE.

Harper wrote,"DMs are wide [censored] open. I've never been more happy!"

From there, we assume Harper had been fielding messages from fans all day, most of which were probably congratulating him for finally being granted a release he'd long been in search of. And, considering his messages were open, we requested a chance to chat with him and asked about any kind on non-compete clause. We've yet to hear back.

Harper's displeasure in WWE was well documented. Since his days as part of the Wyatt Family, he'd been given on and off pushes within the company, notably as a tag team partner with Erick Rowan. But for the most part, he was off of television, seemingly left to rot without much direction or planning by the WWE writers. He'd requested his release, it wasn't granted and it appeared he was going to stew on the sidelines.

Then, in a shocking series of announcements, WWE confirmed they had released Harper, along with Sin Cara and the Ascension on Sunday. Many speculate that there might be more releases coming, the key here being that Viktor and Konnor did not request their releases but were let go anyway.

What's Next For Harper?

Based upon his comments, he's clearly thrilled to be able to move on to whatever chapter comes next. He'd recently trademarked Brodie Lee and it is expected he'll be wrestling under that name wherever he pops up next.

Whether he goes to AEW, Impact, New Japan or somewhere else remains to be seen but Harper is one man who feels like Christmas came early. He had to put the word censor in brackets because he was so happy.
