Given that the reversed course on it right away and that Emma was let go from the WWE, we all thought that the Emmalina experiment had failed. But according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, it didn't fail, it just switched superstars to Mandy Rose, and Vince McMahon was the one who saw the possibilities.

We all remember the Emmalina experiment. Emma was off TV for a while and then we started getting those promo videos and teases as Emma was rebranded and rebuilt as Emmalina.

Then, finally on the February 13, 2017 episode of Raw Emmalina premiered and announced to the world that the makeover of Emma to Emmalina was complete and now it was time to witness the transformation of Emmalina to Emma.

Yup, as fast as they introduced her the organization knew it wasn't going to work and made a quick 180 on the whole thing. And as Emma has said on the Killing The Town podcast, after she left the WWE, "I guess there was an idea to it and they kind of realized along the way that wasn't me."

But obviously, Mr. McMahon liked the concept and knew it could work. Emma just wasn't the right fit for the Emmalina gimick. But then there was Mandy Rose who, Vince had a strong feeling, would be perfect for the part.

Just compare Emmalinas entrance in the first video with Mandy Rose's in the video below. The music, the attitude, etc... You will wonder why you hadn't noticed it before (maybe because Emmalina came and went so fast we didn't have time to remember her entrance?).

Also, one of the best parts of the gimmick is how Corey Graves is completely enamored and infatuated with Mandy Rose and is all but drooling all over the announce table when she is on the show. Well, that part of the gimmick seems to have also come from Emmalina.

You will notice in both entrances that Graves tells Byron Saxton to "shut up" so that he can just appreciate the beauty and the work of art that is Emmalina/Mandy Rose.
