After a backstage promo delivered by Matt and Jeff Hardy, the WWE Universe is abuzz with the idea that they may finally get to see the much-anticipated debut of the "Woken" gimmicks so desperately craved by the fans of the WWE and the Hardyz. Is this all another tease with no payoff or will a "Woken" Matt and a Jeff "Nero" Hardy show up on Raw to take out The Miz and his Miztourage.
The Miz and his crew invited Matt and Jeff to join them on Raw in a segment that would see Team Extreme sit under the learning tree of The Miz. In their response to the invitation, the Hardyz decided that instead of taking Miz up on his offer, they'd prefer to "delete" him.
The Miz responded with another classic Miz promo. Consistently knocking it out of the park with his delivery, Miz referenced Matt and Jeff singing, his reference to the term obsolete and that any version of Jeff Hardy can show up that Jeff wants because it won't change the fact that The Miz is going to continue to make the Intercontinental Title the most relevant title in the WWE.
If "Woken" Matt and "Nero" Jeff show up on Raw, the WWE Universe can expect many of the major future storylines to revolve around these two characters, and it could start with a run as the Intercontinental Champion for Jeff Hardy. If they don't show, one has to wonder how many times the WWE can tease their debut and not deliver.
The "Woken" gimmick is one of the more anticipated debuts for the WWE in a long time and it's coming from a wrestler already employed by the company. It's a rare combination and opportunity for the WWE to have at its fingertips and one has to wonder when they're finally planning to pull the trigger.
