Goldberg and Undertaker squared off for the first time ever at the Super ShowDown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - but the match is remembered for all the wrong reasons.

There was some notable rust between the two superstars, and the in-ring chemistry just wasn't there. The two legends also botched a handful of finishers throughout the match, and on one occasion, Goldberg dropped Undertaker on top of himself when trying to execute a Tombstone Piledriver.

And worse yet, Goldberg reportedly suffered a concussion during the match after crashing headfirst into the ring post. He was notably groggy throughout the fight, and it came to a merciless end when Undertaker finally scored the pinfall victory.

During a recent appearance on Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions, Goldberg said that he owes Undertaker "a receipt," in regards to their disappointing match six months ago. That prompted quite the response from NXT Superstar Matt Riddle, who suggested that the 2018 Hall of Fame inductee actually apologize to The Deadman instead.

It was reported by WWE insider Brad Shepard that Undertaker and Goldberg engaged in a backstage confrontation after the match, with the two veteran stars "accusing the other of being unsafe."

Some wondered if that would mark Goldberg's final match in the WWE. But he would return two months later to face Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam, whom Goldberg defeated with relative ease.

The Undertaker, meanwhile, returned a month later to team up with Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules - where they defeated Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. It's unclear if we'll see Undertaker and Goldberg in the ring again any time soon, but it's safe to assume there won't be a Super ShowDown rematch.

Goldberg & Undertaker Can't Take All The Blame

At the end of the day, Goldberg and Undertaker can't be blamed entirely for the disappointing match. WWE creative shouldn't have pitted the two superstars against each other in the first place, since neither had wrestled in a significant amount of time. The two superstars obviously needed more preparation for that match, too, so it's unfair to point the finger squarely at those two. At any rate, Goldberg and Undertaker redeemed themselves in their ensuing matches.
