The WrestleMania 27 intergender tag team saw reality show star Snooki teaming with Trish Stratus and John Morrison to defeat Dolph Ziggler, Michelle McCool and Layla in an attraction match. Rumors indicated that Melina was scheduled to be in the match until the bigger star Stratus returned.

The post-match celebration for the faces was more memorable than the match itself. Morrison refused to hug Trish assumingly due to her taking Melina’s spot. Stratus confirmed that Morrison stated that when she confronted him backstage. Both Melina and Morrison had heat with WWE afterwards.

4 Received Backstage Heat For Love Triangle

One of the most controversial real-life love triangles featured Batista, John Morrison and Melina. Various wrestlers like Paul London, Brian Kendrick and Maria Kanellis confirmed the rumors during their respective shoot interviews.

The story saw Melina dating Batista while still in a relationship with Morrison to put them all in hot water. Batista was the only one to survive it without any heat since he was already a top star. WWE reportedly slowed down on the pushes of Morrison and Melina due to the high-profile nature of the love triangle getting ugly.

Melina could not wrestle Foley, so she got the next best thing in a segment with him and Vince McMahon. Foley joined the Kiss My Ass Club of Vince to protect Melina’s job when she was threatened.
