Molly Holly And Michelle McCool Contacted For Royal Rumble

Michelle McCool and Molly Holly are the latest names rumored to be making a come back for the first ever women's Royal Rumble match.

We are really picking up speed on the road to the Royal Rumble and it is now less than three weeks until the 2018 installment of the pay-per-view. This upcoming Royal Rumble will be different to any before it however as the event will feature two 30-person over the top rope epics instead of just one, one for the male Superstars and one for the females.

There were many questions that sprung to fans' minds when the women's Royal Rumble match was first announced. Would the rules be the same? What will the winner get? The most pressing question though was how many competitors would be in it. As we now know there will be 30 competitors. That poses a problem though as there are only 19 women without championships between Raw and SmackDown Live.

That means reinforcements will need to be called in, and honestly, if they're fully fit who from WWE's past would not want to be in the first ever all-female Royal Rumble? Names such as Lita, Trish Stratus, and Beth Phoenix have been mentioned on more than one occasion, however, according to PWInsider, the latest names contacted by WWE are Michelle McCool and Molly Holly.

It wasn't too long ago that McCool admitted on Twitter that she was simply waiting for a call from WWE and she would be more than willing to return, so it seems very likely that she will be in the match. While Holly hasn't exactly done that, she is still involved in wrestling. She is currently a coach at The Academy School of Professional Wrestling, run by Shawn Daivari and Ken Anderson, so there will be no worries as to whether she is in ring-shape or not.

The list of names that could potentially be coming back for the first ever women's Royal Rumble match continues to grow and regardless of which rumors are true, it is still going to be a terrific event. That being said, if WWE has indeed contact Michelle McCool and Molly Holly, both women would be great additions to the marquee match.
