Since the beginning of storytelling in wrestling via promos and backstage segments, we've seen on-screen relationships unfold. Being on the road with the same group of people for up to 300 days a year can take a toll on your love life and you can find yourself romanticizing about a co-worker quite easily. Some on-screen or in-ring romances merge into real-life relationships, or for some entries in this list, one-time hook ups.
It's always been easy to figure the women of wrestling to be a little more promiscuous, judging by the clothes they wear and their appeal being a big factor in a lot of the characters (Kelly Kelly being an exhibitionist made it far too easy.) However, there are a fair number of men in the wrestling world who have had their share of romances throughout the locker room, or otherwise (Ric Flair ring any bells?).
Going throughout the history of the men and women of the wrestling world, it was not easy, but I managed to list the top 15 promiscuous female and top 5 promiscuous male wrestlers of all time. From ladies of the 80s all the way to the rumored marriage-ending affairs and the men who know they can charm the pants off of almost any woman, this list breaks down the severity of promiscuity, but also taking into speed and number of partners these entries that encountered.
Now some entries may come as a surprise, but here is the list of the top 15 female and 5 male promiscuous wrestlers of all time.
Though he's on his third marriage, Batista has had his fair share of relationships and encounters that are the reason he is on the list. He has two children from his first marriage to Glenda Bautistam which ended in 1998. His second marriage to Angie Bautista lasted seven years, from 1998 until 2006. That was when his encounters began.
His first relationship after his second marriage ended was with backstage interviewer for the ECW brand, Rebecca DiPietro in 2006 and lasted for four months. He admitted to having a brief relationship with Melina in 2007, leading to an on-screen angle and kiss that sparked the rumors with the fans. From there, he moved on to have a three month relationship with Kelly Kelly in 2008. In an interview in September 2009, he revealed that he had dated Rosa Mendes. Batista wanted to settle down for the third time and on October 10, 2015, he married competitive pole dancer Sarah Jade.
19 Ashley Massaro
Ashley Massaro shot into the top of the WWE Women's division after winning the 2005 Raw Diva Search on the August 15th episode of Raw that year. Known for her edgy style, Massaro was over with the fans in a big way, and caught the eye of Matt Hardy, who had, at that time, recently been re-hired to re-live his scandalous break up with Lita. The two began dating in November of 2005 and were together until sometime in the following year.
While she was in the role of manager and valet for the team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London, there were rumors swirling that Massaro was hooking up with London. The rumors continued until mid-2007. With her time in the WWE coming to an end, asking for a release to take care of her then-8-year-old daughter, Massaro went outside of the wrestling world to find her next boyfriend. In early 2008, Massaro began dating Chuck Comeau, the drummer for Canadian band Simple Plan for a few short months.
One name that has been thrown around the rumor mill leaving a bad taste in our mouths is Jojo. She is rumored as to hooking up with Bray Wyatt, leading to him leaving his wife and two children. As disturbing as this rumor has been, it is not the first time Jojo has had encounters with wrestlers who were fresh off of leaving, or just about to leave their wives.
Since we were first introduced to Jojo on the first season of Total Divas, we see her break up with her high school sweetheart in order to stay with the WWE. She didn't grieve for very long, as she was seen getting close to Justin Gabriel at a party hosted by her and her then-roommate, former WWE superstar Eva Marie. That didn't end well, leaving Jojo with a broken heart. She was also rumored to have had an encounter with Randy Orton following his divorce from Samantha Speno.
With her debut in the World Wrestling Federation not being until 1997, Joanie Laurer, known more famously as Chyna, had her first relationship with someone in the world of wrestling many years prior. In 1989, Laurer was romantically linked to Ed Leslie, known as Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, for a brief few months.
After moving on to bodybuilder Gerry Blais in 1995, Laurer caught the eye of Paul "Triple H" Levesque. The line is blurry as to whether she cheated on Blais, but her relationship with Triple H ended with slight controversy regarding his involvement with Stephanie McMahon. Chyna left the World Wrestling Federation in 2001, and two years later found herself in a relationship with Sean Waltman, who is more famously known as X-Pac. The two dated from 2003 until 2005. During their relationship, they commercially released a sex tape titled 1 Night in Chyna, which won an AVN (Adult Video News) Award for Best-Selling Title in 2006.
If Total Divas showed us anything about Paige, it was the "hot mess" that was her love life. Though admitting in the past that being in relationships used to freak her out, Paige seemed to have the outlook of hating being alone. She always seemed to have someone. The first boyfriend we saw of hers on Total Divas was Bradley Walden, the lead singer of the band Emarosa. He broke up with her by text message and she quickly found herself in the arm of Kevin Skaff, a guitarist in the band A Day To Remember. Their relationship started in February 2015, but with Paige freaking out after saying yes to his marriage proposal, she broke up with him on the eve of their first anniversary.
Paige was rumored to be hooking up with fellow WWE wrestler Xavier Woods, when she began her whirlwind of a relationship with Alberto Del Rio in March 2016. Within a year, they two had a brief engagement before getting married. Just under two weeks before her wedding day, personal photos and videos were leaked of Paige, including a sex tape that included Xavier Woods and former Raw General Manager Brad Maddox. That, on top of the crazy public disturbances that two had over their relationship, caused the two to call it quits in November 2017.
After beginning her training to become a professional wrestler in 2000, and getting eliminated in 2002's Tough Enough III first round, Melina Perez signed her first contract with the WWE in 2004. In the early years of her career, before going to Tough Enough, Perez was in a relationship with fellow wrestler Mike Knox.
A few months before signing her first contract with the WWE, she began dating then-WWE wrestler John Hennigan, known better as Johnny Nitro in the WWE and Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground. Their rocky relationship lasted over a decade, with many rumors circling throughout the locker room about Perez having encounters with other wrestlers. The one that is the most famously brought up is her encounter with Batista.
We've heard all sides of the story, but regardless of what happened between Batista and Perez, Hennigan still stuck by her for another seven years, before officially ending their relationship in 2014.
14 John Cena
He's been the face of the WWE for over a decade, so it's no surprise that he had women flocking him. He may be engaged to Nikki Bella now, he has had a checkered past with the ladies. Cena married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau on July 11, 2009. Their marriage ended in turmoil with Huberdeau filing for divorce due to Cena's infidelity in 2012. The incident was rumored to involve Mickie James.
Cena has also been romantically linked to Kelly Kelly, AJ Lee, both of which happened in 2012, Victoria in 2002, and rumored to have been with adult film star Kendra Lust. Luckily for Cena, his 2012 ended on a high note.
In November 2012, he began dating Nikki Bella, and as we've seen on Total Divas and Total Bellas, it was to everyone's surprise that Cena finally proposed to Bella on April 2, 2017, following their victory in their inter-gender tag team match against the Miz and Maryse. Everyone thought his first marriage would be his only one, but lucky for Nikki, he finally "put a ring on it."
13 AJ Lee
Before settling down with CM Punk in 2013, the "Crazy Chick" of the WWE, AJ Mendez-Brooks, better known as AJ Lee, had great success in both her professional life and her love life since her early days in the independent wrestling circuit. When she was 19, AJ began dating fellow indie wrestler Jamar Shipman, better known as Jay Lethal. Their relationship lasted for three years, ending in 2010, months after she signed a developmental contract with the WWE in 2009.
In 2011, AJ began dating former WWE wrestler Trent Baretta. The relationship didn't last too long, as AJ's career began to take off and she was taking over the women's division, the fire burning out by early 2012. In July of 2012, it was rumored that AJ had hooked up with John Cena. The two were seen having breakfast together on more than one occasion, making rumors fly throughout the locker room and the fanbase.
Her relationship with Phil Brooks, aka CM Punk, began in September of 2013. After dating for six months, in March of 2014, they were engaged. They got married on Brooks' birthday, June 13, 2014.
No one had their dirty laundry played out on television more than Lita. Her biggest relationships were aired on weekly episodes of both Raw and Smackdown. From her beginnings in the WWE in 1999, she was dating Matt Hardy. Their relationships seen many ups and downs through injuries and title reigns. However, Lita would find herself, after being with Matt for six years, in the arms of Adam Copeland, better known to the wrestling world as Edge. The summer of 2005 saw the real-life scandal turn into a story line on WWE television.
After separating from Edge, Lita began dating musician Shane Morton from 2006 to 2008. She sought love in the wrestling world once again in 2009, dating CM Punk. After a break up in March of 2010, Punk and Lita got back together sometime in 2012 until the summer of 2013. Their relationship ended in controversy, with Lita speculating that Punk left her for AJ.
11 Missy Hyatt
One name that you will hear on many shoot interview when asked which female in the wrestling world was the most "loose." That name is Missy Hyatt. The number of sexual encounters and relationships she has had over the years cannot be duplicated.
Though she was previously married to fellow wrestler Eddie Gilbert, but he couldn't tame her wild ways and they were divorced a year later. Hyatt has been linked to Tom Pritchard, Jake "the Snake" Roberts, Hawk from the Road Warriors, Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake, Jason Hervey, John Tatum, Scott Putski, Jim Kelly, Jack Victory and Bill Fralic. Doesn't seem like many, right? Those were just the names of actual relationships she's had.
However, the names of the men she has had one-off encounters with is just as crazy, especially with most of them being so much younger than her, from the likes of Sean Morley (Val Venis), Scott Levy (Raven), Tommy Rich, Trent Acid and Kid Kash.
The first WWE diva to be viewed as a sex symbol was Sunny. She had gained a reputation as quite loose in the locker room, regardless of being in a relationship with Chris Candido. Candido and Sunny, born Tammy Sytch had a relationship from 1990 until his untimely passing in 2005. Their long-lasting relationship didn't stop the rumors of encounters with two of the biggest stars in the mid 1990s, Shawn Michaels and Davey Boy Smith. Michaels is, in Sytch's opinion "the best partner she's ever had."
Even after leaving the WWE and making her way to the indies and making a name for herself in the adult film world, Sytch still found young, up and coming wrestlers to hook up with. According to Sytch, when it comes to oral sex, "nobody beats Chris Masters," and she also revealed on Twitter that she hooked up with Dolph Ziggler. Her current boyfriend, Damien Darling, who she has been with since 2012, was infuriated about the Twitter reveal, blocking Ziggler on all of Sytch's social media pages. Regardless, Sytch and Darling got engaged in January 2013, but have yet to tie the knot.
9 Stacy Keibler
Stacy Keibler found love in both the wrestling world and in Hollywood. During her time in WCW, Keibler was romantically linked to David Flair. It was mostly an on-screen relationship, but there were rumors that it become a real relationship behind the scenes as well. Whatever it was, it fizzled out in 2000. After making the jump to the WWE, Keibler began dating the late Andrew Martin, better known as Test, with their relationship lasting roughly two years.
Keibler moved away from the squared circle and in 2005, she was dating actor Geoff Stults. Their relationship lasted from June 2005 until August 2010. In the midst of her relationship with Stults, she was rumored to have hooked up with Jamie Foxx in 2008. In July of 2011, Keibler began her highly profiled relationship with Hollywood icon George Clooney, which saw them on red carpets everywhere until the heat flamed out in July of 2013.
Keibler met her match in September 2013 in entrepreneur Jared Pobre. The two were married just eight months after getting together on March 8, 2014. They welcomed their first child, daughter Ava Grace on August 20, 2014.
8 Alberto Del Rio
It may seen strange that this guy is on the list, but its because of how he went about certain things, even though some are rumored. Alberto Del Rio was married to his first wife for many years and has three children with her. His ex-wife, Angela Velkei, filed for divorce in June 2016, claiming the reason being adultery. Velkei wanted a restraining order against him. Del Rio claims that the marriage truly ended in 2015 after Velkei was treating him in a cruel manner. This led him to stray and look elsewhere before the marriage was officially over.
He is rumored to have had a fling with Charlotte Flair for a brief time in 2016, before he went public with his relationship with Paige in May of that year. Del Rio and Paige were married within a year of dating and after public fights and Paige wanting to focus more on her own well being, separated in November 2017.
Maria began her time in the wrestling world after begin signed to WWE's then-developmental company, FCW following her elimination in the first Raw Diva Search. Within her first year there, she became yet another woman who caught the eye of the "Straight-Edged Superstar" CM Punk. They dated from sometime in 2005 until June 2007. Eight months before their break up, Maria had an on-screen kiss with John Cena, which spurred up talk throughout the locker room that she had cheated on Punk around that time in late 2006.
After she left the WWE in 2010, Maria moved to the independent circuit and in December 2011, appeared on Ring of Honor with her then-boyfriend Mike Bennett. The two got married on October 10, 2014 and in 2015 they moved, as a couple, to New Japan Pro Wrestling, and to TNA in 2016. In 2017, she made her return to WWE, bringing Bennett along with her, but they are currently inactive due to Maria pregnant with their first child.
6 Mickie James
Well, what do you know, another woman who caught the eyes of both CM Punk and John Cena. Mickie James, beginning her wrestling career on the independent circuit under the name Alexis Laree. In 1999, she was linked to fellow wrestler Jake Damien. In 2003, during her days in Ring of Honor, was rumored to have hooked up with her close friend, CM Punk. Quickly switching bedside partners, James began dating Adam Birch, known to wrestling fans as Joey Mercury. They dated for just shy of a year.
When making the jump to the main roster of the WWE, James began dating former WWE wrestler Ken Doane, better known as the Spirit Squad leader Kenny. They began dating in March 2006 and got engaged on August 31, 2006. They separated on November 10, 2007 with speculations of hook ups with John Cena, as Doane spoke about in an interview. Speaking of John Cena, it was rumored that a hook up between him and James in 2011 was what caused Cena's ex-wife Elizabeth Huberdeau to file for divorce.
James has finally settled down with Nick Aldis, known for his time in TNA as Magnus. They dated for three years until they announced their engagement in November 2014. The welcomed their son, Donovan Patrick on September 25, 2104 and tied the knot on New Year's Eve 2015.
5 Sara Lee
Sara Lee may have been the female winner of the sixth season of Tough Enough in August 2015, but she made a bigger name for herself with how many male wrestlers she was romantically linked to. Before she joined the cast of Tough Enough, she was dating independent wrestler Moose. Once she moved on to the WWE, she began seeing then-WWE wrestler Sami Callihan. Before long, she was seen backstage getting close to Mojo Rawley.
The timeline is slightly blurry, but in October 2016, Lee announced she was expecting her first child, and the father was Cory Weston, better known on NXT as Wesley Blake. Lee was released from the WWE shortly after announcing her pregnancy. Blake marks the fourth wrestler Lee was romantically linked to in just over a year, three of them all being signed to NXT. Lee and Weston welcomed their daughter, Piper in May 2017 and tied the knot on December 30,2017.
4 Rosa Mendes
After encounters with Batista, rumors of relationships with Michael Hayes (yikes!) and Santino, Rosa Mendes seemed to have finally settled down. Her first noted relationship is in 2012, when she was engaged to fellow wrestler Steven Slocum, who appeared on WWE television as Tyson Kidd's body guard. Mendes, born Milena Roucka, filed battery charges on August 5, 2012, fearing for her life and had the police take photos of the bruises on her body. It was then revealed that Slocum was engaged to another woman at the same time as Roucka. In 2014, Roucka was in a relationship with Eddie Colon, better known as Primo for a few months, starting during the time she was managing the tag team of Primo and Epico.
Her love life is finally giving her a happy ending, as in 2015, she began dating musician and fashion designer Bobby Schubenski. On August 6, 2015, Roucka announced that her and Schubenski were expecting their first child. While in France, as seen on Total Divas, the two got engaged on October 8, 2015. They welcomed their daughter Jordan on February 13, 2016 and Roucka is enjoying her retirement for the WWE and being a mom and future wife.
3 Kelly Kelly
There is no other female in the wrestling world that has had been bedded, rumored or otherwise by some of the top names in the wrestling world than Kelly Kelly.
Even though she has now settled down with former NHL player Sheldon Souray, she has a long history of hook ups and relationships. After being signed to a WWE contract without any prior wrestling experience, Kelly, born Barbie Blank, was clearly hired mainly for her looks and sex appeal. She used that her advantage both on-screen and off. During her stint in OVW, she began dating Andrew Martin aka Test. Their relationship lasted for two years prior to his passing in March 2009.
She has been linked to the likes of CM Punk, John Cena, Batista, John Hennigan, Dolph Ziggler, Justin Gabriel, Alex Riley, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton before leaving the WWE in 2012. She then began dating Sheldon Souray, whom she married on February 27, 2016.
2 Ric Flair
You all knew it was coming, but yes, Ric Flair is my number two for the most promiscuous male wrestler of all time. He may have been married four times, but he was also known for having a major drinking problem that really caught up with him when he had a health scare in late 2017. He has claimed in the past, and on his ESPN special "30 for 30," that he has slept with 10,000 women. Steven Tyler may not buy it, but with the lifestyle he was selling us, who are we to say we don't.
Flair has four children, daughter Megan and son David with his first wife Leslie, and daughter Ashley (who goes by Charlotte in the WWE) and late son Reid with his second wife Beth. His last two marriages didn't last nearly as long ad the first two, 11 years with Leslie and 22 with Beth. He was married to his third wife Tiffany for one year and his fourth wife Jacqueline for two years. He has been with his current girlfriend Wendy since 2012.
1 CM Punk
I know that CM Punk is now married for AJ Lee, and has been for the last three years. However, he has racked up quite the women over the years leading up to finally settling down with his very own "crazy chick."
Punk has been romantically linked with many women throughout the wrestling world. In his indie days, he been in relationships with Daffney, Allison Danger, Tracy Brooks, and Mickie James. After being signed to the WWE, his wild ways with the ladies continued. He had a two year relationship with Maria from 2005 to 2007. It was rumored he had hooked up with Kelly Kelly in the midst of his relationship with Maria. In 2009, Punk started dating Lita, then moved on to Beth Phoenix in 2011 just to go back to Lita a few months later, until he found AJ. AJ and Punk dated for six months before getting engaged in March of 2014. They tied the knot on Punk's birthday, June 13, 2014, just three months after getting engaged.
