Natalya Admits She's Enjoying AEW's Product

WWE's Natalya has admitted that she enjoys what AEW's doing, albeit not in so many words, but the female star says she's loving Wednesday nights.

Natalya was part of the first-ever women's match in Saudi Arabia, having participated in Crown Jewel last week. And, speaking to Hot 97 as a guest at the beginning of this week, she revealed being a viewer of every wrestling show she's able to take in.

“I watch everything. TJ, my husband, is a producer, because he watches everything, we watch everything," she said. "I’ve got friends across the board, in both companies, in every wrestling promotion in the world, I have friends. I’m enjoying wrestling right now, I feel like it’s an exciting time. I have friends in AEW, like Britt Baker, and there’s girls that, I support women’s wrestling. TJ and I are really good friends with Chris Jericho. My Dad, actually, that was the last interview he did, was with Jericho.”

Natalya was also full of praise for the NXT roster after they stepped in to save the day when most of SmackDown's stars were unable to make it back to the US in time following a lengthy delay in Saudi Arabia.

“I’m excited about Wednesday nights," she continued. "I’m excited because, and Stephanie McMahon said this, competition makes everybody better. And you look at, when we weren’t able to get back home from being in Saudi Arabia, we were dealing with those delays, NXT stepped up, and they helped us. And them being on that big stage with Smackdown on FOX, now I feel like it’s going to help their show on Wednesday.”

Such A Good Sport

Natalya's take on the competition is a positive one and such has been the general notion where WWE is concerned (mostly).

Paying attention to and even applauding what your competition is doing, though, is something entirely different and it's nice to see. There has probably never been a better time to be a wrestling fan in terms of the availability of content and it's cool to know wrestlers feel that way too.
