The New Day Win Tag Team Gold In SmackDown Live Instant Classic

The New Day and The Usos st0le the show once again as the Tag Team Titles changed hands in a Sin City Street Fight on SmackDown Live.

At Battleground a couple of months ago, The Usos and The New Day tore the house down and arguably put on the match of the night in their battle over the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Despite that, the two teams' rematch at SummerSlam was relegated to the kickoff show. Yet again though, they put on an absolute classic.

The New Day had a rematch coming their way though, and it took place on SmackDown Live this week. A couple of weeks ago Jimmy and Jey earned the opportunity to pick the stipulation for the third match in the series, and the Samoan twins opted for a Sin City Street Fight since the bout would be taking place in Las Vegas.

Unsurprisingly, the match was once again pretty incredible. This time though the four men—Xavier Woods remained in the locker room for the match—had the added ingredient of weapons at their disposal. They certainly used that added element as well in order to make this match just as good as the previous ones, yet also completely unique from them. The New Day survived steel chair assisted super kicks, however, to put away the now former champions.

This is the fourth Tag Team Championship title win for The New Day. Following the Superstar Shakeup, it appeared as if Charlotte Flair would be SmackDown Live's biggest acquisition, however, on the back of this series of matches with The Usos, it would appear that The New Day actually added the most to Tuesday nights.

The best thing about The New Day regaining the Tag Team Titles on Tuesday night is now The Usos are owed another rematch, which means this long running feud is still not over. Normally, seeing the same match over and over would have gotten boring by now, but these tenured tag teams are continually finding new ways to keep their battles fresh. Bring on the next rematch between The Usos and The New Day and who knows, maybe their final battle will be inside Hell in a Cell.
