In comparison to WWE and AEW, Impact Wrestling does not always get the same amount of recognition and accolades for their best matches. In fact, only one match has received the coveted five-star rating from Dave Meltzer thus far, but the wrestlers in the ring have proven that they are capable of delivering when given the opportunity.

The peak of Impact Wrestling's X-Division came about due to the rivalry between AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe. Any combination of the three incredible athletes was sure to create magic inside of the ring and they were always called upon to deliver.

At Final Resolution in 2006, Samoa Joe defended his X-Division championship against Christopher Daniels. While this would normally be a show-stealing match, it was the emotion that the two wrestlers displayed that made it even more special. With Daniels coming fresh off of an injury at the hands of Joe, he was ready to make a statement in the ring, and it came across with a hard-hitting match.

When the right types of wrestlers are involved in the match, it can not only steal the show but can create some incredible moments.

At a time when there was no shortage of talent in the X-Division, AJ Styles, Chris Sabin and Petey Williams fought at Final Resolution 2005 for the X-Division Championship. With breath-taking moments at every turn, these three men earned a very high rating for their match, Styles was able to become the new champion with a high-flying feat that needed to be witnessed to be believed.

Impact Wrestling's tag team division has gone through some ups and downs over the years, but there is no denying the talent that the division had during the company's early years. With teams like Team Canada and America's Most Wanted at the helm, they proved that tag team wrestling is an incredibly important piece of a wrestling company.

When done properly, tag team wrestling can be an emotional roller coaster, and these two teams tore it up at Final Resolution 2005. Harris and Storm would walk away with their fifth NWA Tag Team Championship reign, and continue to extend their run as a solid tag team for the company.

When Impact Wrestling learned that they had something special with the talent in their X-Division, they started to utilize the wrestlers in a certain way that started to revolutionize the wrestling business. By showcasing traditionally smaller wrestlers in a big way, it helped set the company apart from its competition.

A tournament like the Super X Cup in 2003 brought in talent from across the world to Impact to compete at a high level, and both home-grown and international talent clashed in great matchups. The X-Division is synonymous with AJ Styles, with his six reigns making him a highly decorated champion from the division. Among those reigns is also the inaugural one with the belt, solidifying him as the face of the division.

However, Style's first reign did not last long as he lost it just a few short weeks later to Lo-Ki in a three-way match also involving Jerry Lynn. As talented as Styles was at the time, there were plenty of wrestlers ready to carry the flag of the X-Division, and Lo-Ki proved just how hungry he was.

Their most brutal affair took place at Against All Odds 2005 in an Iron Man match. When two of the best wrestlers in the world are given such a high-profile match, it is bound to tear the house down. However, these two performed in a way that not even fans thought they would witness.

AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe had locked horns many times before, but this three-way match seemed special from start to finish. All three men fired on all cylinders for the whole match and had one of the best matches the world has ever seen. Even though all three men have moved on from the company, they surely look back on this match very fondly.
