Nia Jax Wants A Forgotten Champion To Return For Raw's 25th Anniversary

In a recent interview, Nia Jax was asked about who she'd want to see return for Raw's 25 Aniversary show, and her answer was a former champion.

Nia Jax wants a name that doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves to come out of retirement and return for Raw's 25th anniversary.

Raw's 25th anniversary show is now just a week away and the list of guests that will be returning for the event continues to get longer and longer. Stone Cold, Kevin Nash, Brother Love, The Godfather, these are just a few of the names that will be showing their faces on Jan. 22, 2017.

At the time of typing this, the number of women from WWE's past confirmed to be coming back is suspiciously low. We say suspiciously because six days after the anniversary show, the first ever women's Royal Rumble match will be taking place. There are quite a few ladies rumored to be coming back either on the special anniversary Raw or later that week in the Rumble such as Trish Stratus and Lita.

Sky Sports recently asked Nia Jax who she would like to see return for what will be a landmark week for WWE, and although a lot of the names were what you would expect one, in particular, stood out. Jax would love to see the return of legendary female wrestler, Bull Nakano. The Japanese star competed in WWE during the early 90s and is most fondly remembered for her fierce rivalry with Alundra Blayze.

"If you look back at their wrestling matches they were revolutionary back then, they just didn’t get the spotlight that we do now," Jax said of Nakano and Blayze's matches. Nakano brought a strong style of wrestling from her native Japan that was relatively new to US fans back then, especially in the women's division. She was truly ahead of her time and it's only the last few years that WWE has really caught up with what she was trying to introduce to them 25 years ago.

Despite Nakano's run in WWE being a long time ago now, she only retired from in-ring competition six years ago, and even then, she only wrestled for an event that revolved around her retirement and had been inactive for a number of years before that. With all that in mind, Jax's wish being granted seems like a long shot. You never know though and maybe Nakano will show up in WWE at some point next week.
