Nia Jax has missed the last few episodes of Monday Night Raw, with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reporting that it was due to her dissatisfaction of the pay scale. On top of that, The Rock (her real-life cousin), encouraged Jax to leave if she wasn't happy.
Jax walked out on Raw two weeks ago but hinted on her Twitter account that she would be ready for Survivor Series. But now, PWInsider.com is reporting that Jax is expected to appear and return on Monday's episode of Raw.
It's unknown right now if the WWE reached a new deal with Jax, but her return obviously couldn't come at a more convenient time. With Survivor Series just three weeks away, Jax can now participate in a qualifying match on Alicia Fox's Team Raw squad.
So far, Fox is the only member of Raw's five-woman tag team. The entire SmackDown team is set with Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Charlotte, and Tamina. Given her status as the most dominant women's performer, Jax will likely earn a spot on Fox's team, now that we know her leave of absence is over with.
Jax has joined a long list of superstars that took a temporary or permanent leave from the WWE due to her some form of discontent with the company. Ryback left WWE last year and was granted a release, while Neville walked out of Raw on Oct. 9, 2017, and has yet to return to the company.
As Barrasso pointed out, Jax's connections with The Rock gave her the leverage here. WWE simply couldn't suspend nor release Jax, due to her relations with one of the company's most profitable superstars ever.
Perhaps we'll soon find out if WWE met Jax's pay wishes, or if the matter was resolved in any other way. But for now, the big news is that she'll be ready to bodyslam her fellow wrestlers in the ring.
