Six women competed for the chance to be Bayley's next title challenger, and Nikki Cross managed to emerge victorious.

Bayley shocked the world last week when she finally stopped fighting the tide and turned heel properly. The heel turn came with a new haircut, chopped down Bayley Buddies, and even a title win at the end of the night. After her victory over Charlotte Flair, Bayley addressed the WWE Universe, calling them bitches and turning her back on them once and for all.

On Friday's SmackDown, Bayley's heel turn got a few more added touches. During her appearance on Miz TV, the champ came to the ring to new entrance music and was even clad in much darker attire. Joined by Sasha Banks, Bayley even seemed reluctant to answer The Miz's questions. Miz TV's host even questioned whether she is the new Brock Lesnar and if Banks is her Paul Heyman.

After Miz TV was done, the six women vying to be Bayley's next title challenger began to make their way to the ring. Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, Carmella, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, and Lacey Evans competed in a six-pack challenge on Friday night. For those confused/keeping track, that's the kind of six-person match where one pinfall wins and there are no eliminations. At least that's what WWE went with on Friday.

Cross wound up outlasting her five opponents, pinning Rose for the win. The Scot and the champ then confronted each other after the match, although Bayley didn't want to actually come in the ring in order to do so. It has been a crazy week for Cross. First, she was on Raw, then she and Alexa Bliss were traded to SmackDown, and now she's the number one contender to the blue brand's Women's Championship.

As for when Bayley versus Cross will go down, that's currently anyone's guess. The match can't happen at Crown Jewel since women still aren't allowed to wrestle in Saudi Arabia. Plus, if Survivor Series continues to be Raw versus SmackDown, the match won't happen there either. We're guessing that means the match will take place during an episode of SmackDown, maybe even as early as next Friday.
