In an episode of Raw that is sure to be full of storylines that came from SummerSlam, these types of shows tend to have a few surprises. If you saw NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III then you know that Bobby Roode lost his NXT Championship. Apparently, there is a good reason.
Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is set to take place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and it looks like fans might get to see the debut of the "Glorious" one.
PWInsider is reporting that former NXT Champion Bobby Roode is backstage at Raw tonight, and he appears to be the only member of the NXT roster who is at the arena. Could this mean that he's been promoted by Triple H and company to finally make his main roster WWE debut?
Saturday night at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III, Bobby Roode defended his NXT Championship against Drew McIntyre, but lost. Adam Cole then debuted and took out McIntyre, laying out the new champion. Interestingly, nowhere to be found was Bobby Roode who rolled out of the ring and appeared to be out of the title picture. That's not normal for a champion who would immediately be given a rematch. Perhaps he doesn't need the rematch because he's on his way out of NXT.
It’s been rumored that Bobby Roode is in the good graces of many in the WWE and has a huge supporter in Triple H. Vince McMahon is also high on Roode as the former champ has the look and appeal McMahon likes in his superstars.
The trick will be to keep watching Raw to see if Roode does, in fact, show up for the first time. If he does, who will he be set to debut against? He has all the tools to be a champion in WWE.
