There have now been over 30 different NXT Takeover events, and throughout those shows, there have been some incredible talents involved. While some wrestlers have only had one-off appearances or had short stints with the brand, others have stuck around for longer and competed countless times at a Takeover event.

Certain wrestlers have really made Takeover their own through their performances and sheer consistency at the event. But to have made some of the most appearances on the show is a real credit to those involved because only the very best are given the opportunity to compete on a Takeover card, even if they don't always win most of their outings.

10 Aleister Black: 9 Appearances (7-2)

Aleister Black was completely dominant during his spell in NXT, and his fantastic Takeover record proves that. While Baron Corbin has also made nine appearances, he has a slightly poorer record at 6-3.

Black was only beaten by Tommaso Ciampa and in his final Takeover match alongside Ricochet against War Raiders. However, he had some sensational bouts along the way, particularly with his feud against Andrade.

9 Shayna Baszler: 10 Appearances (7-3)

Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler had a firm grip of the NXT Women's Championship during her time with NXT and she really did prove how good she is. Baszler dominated everyone who stepped in her way, only being beaten in singles competition by Ember Moon and Kairi Sane.

Of course, Baszler would end up getting the best of both those women in the end, winning those rivalries on a whole. She showcased great quality in the ring and earned her main roster call-up.

8 Asuka: 10 Appearances (10-0)

Asuka As The NXT Women's Champion

It's impossibly to find an NXT Takeover record quite as good as Asuka's considering she is undefeated at the event. The Empress Of Tomorrow never lost a single match during her time in NXT, which was absolutely incredible.

She's undoubtedly one of NXT's greatest ever roster members and that is something that will never change. Asuka had great battles with the likes of Bayley, Nia Jax, and even a one-off appearance by Mickie James.

7 Roderick Strong: 12 Appearances (4-8)

Roderick Strong

Roderick Strong has plenty of NXT Takeover appearances under his belt, which is no surprise as he was working on these shows prior to even joining Undisputed Era. Of course, once he was part of the group, he was involved even more.

Strong has had a lot of good matches with the group inside WarGames, but he's also thrived in singles action. Strong has faced the likes of Eric Young, Andrade, and Pete Dunne in some really great bouts.

6 Velveteen Dream: 12 Appearances (5-7)

Velveteen Dream

He may only be young, but Velveteen Dream already has an impressive 12 appearances under his belt at NXT Takeover. He most recently worked at NXT TakeOver 31, in a losing effort against Kushida.

However, he has had some impressive wins at the event as well, having beaten the likes of Tyler Breeze, Matt Riddle, and Kassius Ohno. He's a very consistent performer and someone who has made some great moments take place at the show.

5 Kyle O'Reilly: 12 Appearances (5-7)

With the exact same record as Velveteen Dream, Kyle O'Reilly is also one of the highest appearance makers at Takeover. The most recent event saw O'Reilly get a main event spot against Finn Balor, but traditionally he's competed in tag team action.

As a member of Undisputed Era, O'Reilly has been the most consistent member when it comes to defending and winning the NXT Tag Team Championships, which has taken up a lot of his Takeover bouts.

4 Tommaso Ciampa: 13 Appearances (6-7)

Tommaso Ciampa has had real mixed success throughout his Takeover career, but he is one of the highest appearance makers. Ciampa was dominated by Karrion Kross recently and has also suffered defeats to Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole.

He of course, worked alongside Gargano early on in his Takeover career as #DIY, but the team only had one Takeover victory to their name, which came at TakeOver: Toronto.

3 Adam Cole: 13 Appearances (8-5)

Adam Cole wins North American Title

Speaking of someone making 13 appearances, Adam Cole is another man currently on that number, but his record is a little more impressive. As the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history, that is to be expected.

Cole defeated all comers when he was champion, beating the likes of Ciampa, Aleister Black, and Johnny Gargano. He's also been victorious inside WarGames and was the first-ever North American Champion, which he did at Takeover as well.

2 Finn Balor: 15 Appearances (14-1)

Finn Balor NXT Takeover

Finn Balor has been one of the faces of NXT for a long period now, and he was one of the stars who helped build the brand to where it is today. Balor was dominant as NXT Champion and had a great run with the title. He even has one NTX UK Takeover appearance to his name as well, which is included in these appearances.

Since returning to the brand, he has continued to do so, regaining the title and having some high-quality bouts. The fact he only has one defeat at Takeover, against Samoa Joe at TakeOver: The End, is incredibly impressive.

1 Johnny Gargano: 19 Appearances (4-15)

When it comes to NXT Takeover events, Johnny Gargano really is king. Making 19 appearances, Gargano has really helped Takeover develop such a great reputation, but his win/loss record does leave a lot to be desired.

He's lost as many matches as Finn Balor has been part of, with only four victories to his name. However, even the matches that Gargano has lost have been absolutely fantastic, which is why he's remained so popular.
