WWE has revealed that Survivor Series will feature three brands this year and include Superstars from NXT.

We are currently slap bang in the middle of what has quickly become the busiest time of year for WWE. Between Raw's season premiere, SmackDown's debut on FOX, the draft, Crown Jewel, and Survivor Series, there's an awful lot of WWE to consume right now. Crown Jewel might even be ongoing as you read this, or be just about in the rearview mirror.

The show opened with a WWE Title match between Cain Velasquez and Brock Lesnar and spoiler alert, The Beast Incarnate is still your WWE Champion. Directly after that, in typical WWE fashion, it debuted an ad for what's coming up on the WWE Network. Most of it was what fans would have expected. Survivor Series next, then TLC, and WWE specials sprinkled in.

What you might have missed if you caught the ad was a brief but incredibly special announcement made during the Survivor Series part. It was revealed that, as has become the norm, Raw and SmackDown Superstars will compete against each other. However, WWE also revealed that for the first time ever, NXT Superstars will also compete at Survivor Series.

How that is going to work exactly was not revealed, allowing our imaginations to run wild. Recent Survivor Series cards have been made up of champion versus champion matches. Could that mean we see triple threat matches up and down the card? Lesnar versus Seth Rollins versus Adam Cole, and Becky Lynch versus Bayley versus Shayna Baszler are both matches we would love to see go down next month.

The announcement also means that some of the NXT roster is going to have a very busy Survivor Series weekend. On Saturday they will compete at WarGames and then have to wrestle again the following night. We're sure they'll be fine with that for the chance to make a little bit of history at one of the biggest PPVs in wrestling. We look forward to hearing more about how exactly WWE plans on including NXT in its Survivor Series plans.
