Most fans of WWE know that NXT has the best special events when it comes to in-ring action. While WWE has the bigger superstars appearing on Raw and SmackDown and the most popular wrestlers for its PPV events, NXT always has the lesser-known talent looking to make their mark, wrestlers who are willing to go that extra step every time they appear at a TakeOver event.

While fans know that they can expect great matches at NXT TakeOver events, the audiences are nowhere near as big as those who watch WWE PPVs each month. This is especially true for the biggest PPV of them all in WrestleMania. Some of the NXT matches deserve to one day be seen on the biggest stage of them all.

10 Adam Cole Vs. Kyle O'Reilly

Adam Cole Vs Kyle O'Reilly

The breakup of the Undisputed Era is similar to that of the Kliq in the '90s WWE. The four members were close friends, and that made them even better enemies.

When it comes to Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly, they go back even further, getting their start together as a tag team in Ring of Honor. The two men fought at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver in an unsanctioned match and left nothing on the table. These men deserve to fight at a WrestleMania in the future.

9 Keith Lee Vs. Dominik Dijakovic

Keith Lee Vs Dominik Dijakovic

Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic were friends in NXT, and they were also rivals, wanting to prove they were the best big men in the company. Lee was on the rise, and Dijakovic was a phenom who could do so much as a big man.

The two ended up batting at NXT TakeOver: Portland to determine who was the best, and Lee walked out as the winner. For some reason, Lee isn't on TV right now, and Dijakovic is working under a mask, but these two could provide a perfect big-man match at WrestleMania.

8 WALTER Vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Walter vs Tommaso Ciampa

WALTER is one of the best wrestlers in WWE today, but only fans who watch NXT and NXT UK get a chance to see the big man work. Looking at him and he doesn't look that impressive, but the man is a beast who can do anything in the ring.

Tommaso Ciampa is also one of the best wrestlers in the entire company. The two fought at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, and WALTER won, and these two could bring down the house at a WrestleMania.

7 Io Shirai Vs. Dakota Kai

Io Shirai Vs Dakota Kai

Japanese superstar Io Shirai is the best women's wrestler in NXT and one of the best in WWE, regardless of the show. Dakota Kai has developed into one of the best heels in the company and has really developed her character to match up with her in-ring wrestling skills.

Io Shirai took on Dakota Kai at NXT TakeOver: XXX and put on one of the best matches on the show. Both of these women deserve to move up to the main roster, and as long as the producers don't ruin them with bad booking, they could turn in a five-star WrestleMania match.

6 Sasha Banks Vs. Bayley

Sasha Banks vs Bayley

It seems crazy that Sasha Banks and Bayley have never wrestled each other at a WrestleMania. They did face off in a Fatal 5-Way Match at WrestleMania 36, but they have never met one-on-one on the biggest stage of them all.

They had a chance this year, but WWE chose to go with Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair. Banks and Bayley wrestled at two different TakeOver events, and both matches are among the best of all time for the brand, and they deserve to wrestle at WrestleMania one-on-one.

5 Finn Balor Vs. Kyle O'Reilly

He may not be a young rising star anymore, but Finn Balor is still one of the best wrestlers in WWE. After an injury following winning the Universal Championship, Balor found himself languishing until he finally made it back to NXT.

He then won the NXT Championship again, and during that second reign, he defended it to Kyle O'Reilly at NXT TakeOver 31. The match was hard-hitting and spectacular, and these two men deserve to wrestle on the biggest stage of them all.

4 Johnny Gargano Vs. Adam Cole

Johnny Gargano vs Adam Cole

Johnny Gargano is called Mr. TakeOver, similar to how Shawn Michaels was known as Mr. WrestleMania. He has stayed in NXT and didn't seem to want to move up to the main roster, knowing his best matches would come in NXT. Adam Cole is one of the best champions in NXT history.

The two men ended up fighting in a trilogy of matches, and all of them were among the best in NXT history. These two men are magic together, and if they were to step onto the big stage at WrestleMania, there is no reason not to believe they wouldn't try to top the first three from NXT.

3 Pete Dunne Vs. WALTER

Pete Dunne Vs WALTER

The wrestlers from WWE NXT: UK deserve more recognition, and one day they deserve to have a match at a WrestleMania show.

WALTER has held the NXT: UK Championship for over two years, and Pete Dunne held it before him as a dominating champion until he faced WALTER. The two men faced off at NXT TakeOver: New York, and if  NXT: UK gets a chance at WrestleMania, these two men should work that match.

2 Johnny Gargano Vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa had the best trilogy of matches in NXT history, all at TakeOver events. The former tag team partners and friends ended up as deadly enemies, with Gargano as the babyface and Ciampa as the heel who would do anything to win. These matches were all five-star affairs, and they could step onto the stage at WrestleMania and turn in another five-star match in their sleep.

1 Charlotte Vs. Bayley Vs. Sasha Banks Vs. Becky Lynch

Four Horsewomen

The WWE women have come a long way, and they have now headlined two WrestleMania main event matches. The first time, it was Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch, when Lynch won the world title. The second was 2021, where Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair headlined night one of WrestleMania.

However, the one match that NXT fans have always wanted to see was the Four Horsemen all in a match at the same time against each other. At NXT TakeOver: Rival, the four women fought, and Sasha Banks won the NXT Women's Title.
