There have been several changes to the world of wrestling over the last few decades. One of the most monumental may be the increased level of credit that the women wrestlers in the WWE are given for their talent in between the ropes. That's not to say that some of the women who defined the "Old School" era of wrestling didn't know how to throw down, but there were definitely some who got by on their good looks and willingness to compete in bra and panties matches rather than their ability to pull off a moonsault.
In fact, many women from the older era participated in photo shoots that make wearing bra and panties seem like too much clothing! So it perhaps goes without saying that the former generation was full of stunners. But that's not the only half of our list that you're going to love staring at. After all, the women in the WWE not only know how to kick butt but also clearly spend hours in the gym perfecting their bodies that they love to put on prominent display. Even if some of them like Paige put too much on display after her cell phone was hacked, something that someone like Miss Elizabeth wouldn't have had to worry about!
Regardless of what generation of women you loved more, we're sure you're going to love comparing the two as we have the steamiest women from both generations with our list of "Old Vs New School: Which Set Of Divas Was More Attractive?"
15 New School: Lana
While the old-school generation of women had several blonde bombshells that you're going to love staring at, that is definitely a trend that is still followed in the current WWE. And you don't get to talk about blonde bombshells for very long before you start talking about Lana.
Alongside spending a significant portion of her career alongside Rusev, the two of them got married back in 2016. We're sure all that time on the road together made them grow incredibly close! Fans also often get an up-close look at Lana as she has over 2.5 million followers on Instagram and as you can tell with this photo, rarely leaves much to the imagination.
14 Old School: Torrie Wilson
Each day is full of a thousand miracles..if you just choose to open your eyes to them you will see. 😇 2 of mine are right here in my arms. ❤️❤️ Don't wait for everything to be as you think it needs to be or you will miss the extraordinary right in front of you. #NothingIsEverPerfect #JustPerfectlyImperfect #AttitudeIsEverything #Gratitude
Torrie Wilson was one of the most iconic bombshells of the past generation of divas. But just because you knew she had to be on a list like this doesn't mean you're going to be disappointed with the photo we selected of her! Wilson dedicates most of her free-time now to encouraging a healthy fitness routine through her Instagram account and personal website. We're sure you don't mind us turning back the clock for the older photo of Wilson though. When talking about her fitness and diet regime, Wilson admitted "If there was one thing I'd like to teach young women, it would be that you can eat and still be fit and lean." Wilson's good looks also led to her appearing in Playboy on multiple occasions.
13 New School: Charlotte Flair
Some divas make a name for themselves for all the wrong reasons backstage. They have abrasive personalities and they may often find themselves in conflict. That isn't the case for Charlotte Flair who has bonded closely with several of the other divas, including Becky Lynch. When talking about Charlotte, Lynch stated "She's my favorite person to be in the ring with. She's the most incredible talent, and she keeps improving". While many superstars often show respect for each other, these kind words go beyond the average compliment. While her father's rough past seems to be catching up with him, we hope Charlotte can maintain her incredible shape far into the future. It's clear that Charlotte is beautiful both inside and out!
12 Old School: Lita
While there are many women on our list who made a name for themselves for just showing off their body, Lita definitely doesn't want to be considered one of them - even if she does fall into the old school category. She has previously stated "I single-handedly revolutionized women's roles in the WWE, before me all women were eye candy." We don't know if you'd give Lita complete credit as she so clearly gives herself, but she definitely was still a very influential wrestler. That being said, she also participated in the live "celebration" alongside Edge on Monday Night Raw, so it's not like her role in the WWE was completely devoid of debauchery at times!
11 New School: Becky Lynch
There is little denying that Becky Lynch looks tremendous whenever she steps into the ring. But as good as Lynch looks when she is stepping between the ropes, she might look even hotter in the photo that we have selected for you from behind the scenes. Lynch is not only a tremendous wrestler but is also very in touch with her fanbase. Old school wrestlers weren't given the option of Instagram during their prime, but Becky makes sure to take full advantage of that opportunity. With over 2,000 photos and 2.3 million followers, it's understandable if Becky alone would make the new school of women too appealing not to prefer in contrast to the older school of women.
10 Old School: Stacy Keibler
Stacy Keibler didn't become a beloved name in the WWE for her ability to drop a suplex. But when it comes to thinking about retired divas, Keibler is definitely a woman who is going to quickly come to your mind as someone that you miss. Especially because along with her good looks, Keibler was also always promoting a healthy mindset "I will never stop trying to find new ways to promote healthy living. It's my passion and my mission to help others understand what's necessary for our bodies to function properly." We're glad to hear that Keibler has found a way to utilize her platform as a celebrity to inspire positive change in others.
9 New School: Natalya
Natalya Neidhart's family is as old school as it gets. She was trained in the famous Hart family dungeon and her father, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart is one of the most iconic wrestlers of all-time. But something tells us you're probably much happier getting to stare at photos of Natalya than photos of Jim!
While it may have seemed only natural for her to go into the family business, Natalya is actually the first ever third-generation wrestler. This is a dream she has literally been working towards her entire life, and while she may often play a heel, we hope you can still be supportive of her reign as SmackDown champion. Especially because even if she does drop the belt in the near future, it still may only be a matter of time before she's back on top again.
8 Old School: Miss Elizabeth
Miss Elizabeth was one of the most influential managers and female personalities to ever grace the WWE. And while Randy Savage may have been much more outspoken, it was definitely great to get to stare at Miss Elizabeth while he screamed into the camera.
Alongside Savage, Elizabeth helped create countless iconic moments in the WWE - all while looking amazing. Their love was also present off-screen with the two getting married in 1984, but sadly they were later divorced. Elizabeth's life also came to a tragic end when she passed away following an overdose of alcohol and drugs. But an unfortunate ending still doesn't take away from the legacy of one of the most recognizable women in WWE history.
7 New School: Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss definitely had the cards stacked against her going into her title defense match at No Mercy. She was facing off against 4 other talented divas, but the WWE clearly is a huge fan of her having the belt wrapped around her as she managed to come out on top.
While it looks like Bliss may be the champion for the foreseeable future, that's definitely great news for her fans who we're sure can't get enough of her good looks and terrific personality. At the young age of 26, Bliss has the chance to be a significant force in the new school of women if she manages to stay healthy and keep her head and body clean.
6 Old School: Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus was definitely a fan-favorite for many people that grew up watching the WWE in the early 2000s. Part of her value was her ability to show off different sides of her personality, "I can wrestle, I can go out there and cut an entertaining promo, I can also do the backstage stuff... and if you can contribute more to the show, you have more staying power," said Trish in a past interview when talking about how much value she added for the company.
Her professionalism was clearly admired by the WWE who elected to make her the WWE Women's Champion a record 7 different times during her career. She sure looked good with the belt around her, but she might be even hotter in the photo above!
5 New School: Paige
For fans of Paige, they've unfortunately been unable to see her in action for the last little while. She has battled both a significant neck injury, as well as several suspensions. But good news was recently released, as Jim Ross revealed in his blog entry "Happy to see WWE’s Paige back in the Performance Center getting ready to make her return to the ring on the main roster. The talented, young Brit has too much talent to not be fully invested in the WWE, which can feature her skills better than any promotion on the planet. Plus, earn Paige the most cash.” While she may have failed to make the most of her opportunities in the past, we hope that won't be the case this time around.
4 Old School: Ashley Massaro
I whip ma hair I whip my hair like dis hehe lol- Happy Memorial Day weekend punx! Remember...be safe, no drunk driving or getting in car w someone drunk- that popo be out this weekend and they got quotas so be CAREFUL lol I love you guys- don't cause too much trouble, well....cause a little, but not enough to do any real harm- sending you all much ❤️❤️❤️❤️ n 💋💋💋💋 😘😘😘 xoxoxo #memorialdayweekend #partyitup #dirtydivastyle #punx4life
There are many women who have elected to let their clothes hit the floor for Hugh Hefner in the past and ended up regretting it. That wasn't the case for Ashley Massaro though, who when talking about the experience went to great lengths to describe how supportive the famous magazine was of her tattoos. On top of being supportive of how she looked, she went on to say "They spray painted my tattoos on the backdrop of the set, they painted two huge nautical stars like I have on my elbows, and they even wrote the article as “Star Struck” after my finisher. They were just above and beyond supportive.” While the WWE didn't openly talk about it, Massaro had previously also posed for the magazine in 2003.
3 New School: Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks may be the Legit Boss but she was also inspired by several wrestlers growing up, and perhaps none more than Eddie Guerrero. It's her passion to the history of the business that makes it perhaps all the more exciting when she gets approached by fans who shower her with praise and claim she is their inspiration to follow their dreams. She has actually stated that "Eddie Guerrero did that for me, so to have little girls and guys tell me I inspire them, I didn't know that came with the job, but it's so cool." We're sure she's definitely only going to continue to have her fanbase grow in the upcoming years, so it's great that she has such a positive attitude!
2 Old School: Sunny
While some women have managed to gracefully transition into life after wrestling, it definitely isn't the case for everyone. Such is the case with Tammy Stych who has been arrested for multiple offences since her time in the spotlight ended. Sunny does, however, hold the distinction of being in the WWE Hall of Fame. Though her more intriguing headlines may be around the adult film she made with Vivid - a decision that paid her in excess of $100,000. While you may have loved to see Sunny's amateur film shenanigans during the peak of her career (and not in 2016) that didn't make the video any less of a hot topic of discussion.
1 New School: Mickie James
Mickie James may have spent some time away from the company, but her current status as a WWE Diva definitely allows her to land on our new school side of the list. When talking about her opportunity to return to the WWE and the increased focus on women's technical wrestling skill, James said "It’s incredible. I’ve watched it from a distance. It’s something that I’ve always hoped for, for the women of the industry". While she clearly takes pride in being part of the revolution, that doesn't make her exempt from having done some steamy photoshoots, as you can see. We're sure James is going to continue trying to bring her A-Game so that she'll continue impressing her fans.
