How many former WWE Divas can you think of that didn't fit the typical WWE criteria for appearance? There is no doubt that the professional wrestling industry is (or at least was) a shallow one, which was especially true prior to the past few years. There are some characters that may be an exception to the rule, but the company used to hire models without any wrestling experience in the past. Some of those moves paid off well as we saw with Trish Stratus, while the rest ended up being disastrous.

It was a different time in which physical appeal was at the mainstream forefront of WWE more than ever, which led to the hiring of so many beautiful women. At the time, it mattered very little whether they could put on a good match as long as the fans were cheering for the bikini contests. Fast forward to 2018, many of our favourite Divas from the past have now passed 40 years old, which instantly has fans believing that they may not have it anymore.

But as the list will show, many female wrestlers have been fortunate enough to retain their great looks that made them famous in the first place. But when it comes to others, age hasn't been nearly as kind as they have aged significantly from their days in the company. Today, we look at 10 former WWE Divas who look exactly the same and 10 that really changed.

20 Looks Exactly The Same: Victoria

It's been almost a decade since we last saw Victoria in the WWE. Some fans may have seen her competing in TNA or Ring of Honor, as she has remained active on the scene. These days, most of her days are spent competing on the independent circuit along with meet and greet events at various conventions across the country. Fans who meet Victoria are always pleasantly surprised to see that she hasn't changed much since her younger days. At 47 years old, she is still looking good enough to be working for the WWE and could give anyone on the current roster a run for their money.

As you can see by the photo above, Victoria is still looking as great as you might remember her.

It is unknown as to why she hasn't made an appearance in the WWE since 2009 although there seems to be a rift between the two sides. Not only do the social media accounts of the WWE never tag her in related posts - in the rare times she is mentioned - but she was also denied access to backstage of SmackDown last year. The incident reportedly angered Victoria who was simply trying to catch up with some old friends.

19 Really Changed: Dawn Marie

Considering how little wrestling talent she had, it is impressive that Dawn Marie had a relatively lengthy career. If not for her ECW days, then most fans probably remember Marie for her run on SmackDown. She was apart of one of the hottest angles in WWE history, engaging in a romantic relationship with Torrie Wilson. To this day, those videos are still very popular with the fans as they have millions of views across various platforms. And while fans will think of her as the confident, sexy woman who rose to popularity thanks to her good looks and hot persona - she is looking much different today.

Sadly, she hasn't aged as well as most fans would have hoped. She certainly looks much better than most people her age, but far away from the Dawn Marie that we remember. Her appearances have gotten very rare in recent years, but she remains active on Twitter if you happen to be interested in catching up with her latest news and perhaps maintaining contact with a former WWE star. It appears that Marie is now dedicating most of her time to family. She also recently released a new book, so she is certainly keeping herself busy.

18 Looks Exactly The Same: Lita

It's hard to imagine Lita getting up there in age as she was a symbol of youth, especially early in her career with The Hardy Boyz. And while she has recently turned 43 years old, she clearly hasn't lost a step as far as appearance. Earlier this year, fans got to see Lita in action once again when she made a cameo at the 2018 Royal Rumble. You cannot see visible signs of ageing when looking at Lita's face, she could still pass for a 30 year old as of today. She has also remained active despite having been away from the ring since 2006.

Lita's body is as fine as ever, and one could argue that she is currently in better shape than many of WWE's female wrestlers. For the past few years, she had many gigs with the WWE including the sixth season of Tough Enough in which she served as a trainer. Lita has also tried commentary, appearing on the pre-show panels from time to time. Last year, she reportedly had a fall out with the WWE which is why she was removed from the panel. But thankfully it wasn't bad enough to omit her from the very first women's Royal Rumble.

17 Really Changed: Jacqueline

Jacqueline has had a storied career from her days in WWE to WCW, and finally TNA. She has earned some impressive accolades along the way, including two reigns as the WWE Women's Champion while also becoming the first female wrestler to win the WWE Cruiserweight title. Jacqueline is now considered as one of the greatest female wrestlers of all-time thanks to her major contributions to the division, as well as versatility inside and outside of the ring. During her wrestling days, Jacqueline was in incredible physical shape for the most part, and could give any competitor on the roster a run for their money.

But now that she is no longer as active, Jacqueline has been through some changes although she is very much in good shape considering her age.

At 54 years old, it's quite tough to look identical to your younger days, but it's Jacqueline face features that have mostly been effected. She has maintained a good relationship with the WWE despite having left 14 years ago. Not only was she inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016, but she was one of the surprise participants at the first women's Royal Rumble - where she had an impressive display.

16 Looks Exactly The Same: Torrie Wilson

Torrie Wilson appears to be on a quest to defy the concept of age. At 42 years old, she is probably more fit and more age-defyingly beautiful than any of the women on the current WWE roster. Considering how serious she takes her health, that doesn't surprise us at all. There aren't many women who look just as good now as they did when working for the WWE, but Wilson certainly has a strong case. Some would argue she even looks better now that she has retired than she did in the ring. Upon her return at the 2018 Royal Rumble, fans were surprised to see that she hadn't changed at all since her last appearance.

Many of the names on this list have lost their following by now, mostly due to their age. To this day, Wilson still has a very strong fanbase on Instagram where she receives thousands of likes for every post, while her follows cannot help but act thirsty in the comments. Wilson can still very much pass as a model, and if the WWE women's division was still reliant on appearance rather than wrestling talent, then she may still be a full-time Superstar on the roster as she hasn't aged a day.

15 Really Changed: Missy Hyatt

We aren't sure who has aged worse between Missy Hyatt and The Sandman, but time hasn't been too kind to either. WWE mostly ignores her due to the controversy surrounding her career, as well as the fact that she was barely employed by the WWE. She gained fame due to her stints in WCW and ECW, where she was one of the finest female wrestlers. It's unlikely that we will ever see her on WWE television, especially since she hasn't made matters any better with her interviews as well as the tales being told about her from fellow co-workers.

She had remained active as a valet until 2016 before announcing her retirement from professional wrestling. And while Missy Hyatt may have been away from the WWE for so long now, she has kept some close associates in the wrestling industry thanks to her lengthy run on the independent circuit. You would think that revealing the private details of her male partners on wrestling shoots would have her cut off from the rest of the business, but as you can tell by her social media accounts, there are still many wrestlers who interact with her from time to time.

14 Looks Exactly The Same: Gail Kim

Earlier this year, Gail Kim retired from professional wrestling after competing for 18 years. She was one of the best female wrestlers in the world for a number of years with fans believing that WWE had missed the boat with her stint. Kim was severely underused during her WWE run at a time when women's wrestling was mostly revolved around bikini contests, as well as bra and panties matches. But it was her TNA stint that earned her the praise from fans around the world, as she constantly impressed inside the squared circle.

Kim was also one of the very few women from that era who looked just as good as she was talented in the ring. Fast forward to 2018, and Kim looks just about the same as she did in her WWE debut, if not better. She could have had an even better career if she had been apart of this era, where women are allowed to showcase their talents. But Kim still managed to do the best she could with what she was given from management. It is unlikely that we ever see her on WWE television again as she continues to hold a major grudge against the company.

13 Really Changed: Madusa

Father time hasn't been very generous to Madusa, who looks like a completely different person these days. Despite having had some impressive years as a professional wrestler, Madusa is mostly remembered for being one of the many Superstars to make the switch from WWE to WCW - while adding fuel to the fire by throwing the WWE Women's Title in a trash can on Nitro. Fans thought that they may never get to see her again in WWE as Vince McMahon understandably held a grudge for a number of years.

She has been accused of setting back women's wrestling with her actions, as it took the division several years to recover from that incident. Not many would think that the woman above was once a WWE Diva since the company tends to hire women with a certain look. And there was a time when she fit the criteria, but those days are long gone now. Many of her peers - some of whom have been listed - have aged much better than Madusa. But at least she did get an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2015. She made sure to apologize for the treatment she gave the championship, and all appears forgiven.

12 Looks Exactly The Same: Molly Holly

Molly Holly was one of the best female wrestlers who also came up in the wrong era. At the time, the women' division was far from being the focus of the WWE, which meant many talented wrestlers such as Holly were booked terrible at the time. And since she wasn't deemed as sexy enough by Vince McMahon, Holly would be featured in some humiliating storylines and gimmicks - which shows how far women's wrestling has come in the WWE. Last month, Holly was seen once again on WWE television when she inducted her friend Ivory into the Hall of Fame. It was a great moment that many fans have been waiting a long time for, and hopefully made up for some of the humiliation she faced in the company.

And it's safe to say that she stole the spotlight with her appearance.

At 40 years old, Holly is looking even better today than she did during her active days. It is pretty remarkable that she has aged as well as she has when you consider how the WWE once viewed her. These days, she is involved in many ventures - but none more significant than her role as a trainer for wrestling school that was founded by Daivari and Mr. Kennedy.

11 Really Changed: Sunny

The Original Diva will always have a special place in the hearts of fans who watched the WWE in the 90s. She was every man's crush at the time, hence why so many Superstars were after her behind the scenes. From Chris Candido to Shawn Michaels, Sunny had many relationships over the course of her career - making her one of the most controversial female wrestlers of all-time. But the days when she graced our television screens in little to no clothing are long gone now, as she looks like a shell of herself.

What makes it even worse is that she probably would have aged very well if she had taken better care of herself, but years of personal issues and a messy lifestyle really changed her appearance. It is even more surprising that the likes of Torrie Wilson and Trish Stratus are only three years younger than Sunny and yet she looks old enough to be their mom. But unlike those two, Sunny didn't take care of her health and has clearly left the gym behind a long time ago. But that doesn't stop some fans from drooling over her, as she was selling online Skype sessions just a few years ago.

10 Looks Exactly The Same: Sharmell

Sharmell still looks good enough to be a Nitro Girl today. She rose to fame through her appearances in WCW before she eventually turned into a valet for her husband Booker T. She was never that impressive in the squared circle, but did have some memorable years as a valet, especially serving as Queen Sharmell next to King Booker. These days, she has been kept busy with her children who seem to take the vast majority of her time. But make no mistake about it: Sharmell is still as fine as fans remember. She is one of the few good memories most fans will see from the WCW era, and many are very happy to know she is still doing well.

She is approaching 50 years old but hasn't shown many signs of slowing down - at least for the time being. Booker T has also aged well thus far, and if you were to spot the couple in person then you may think it's 2006 since their appearances remain virtually unchanged from their WCW days. As of the past year, Sharmell has been making appearances at meet and greet events, especially when Booker T is involved - so you may get to see how fine she has aged in person.

9 Really Changed: Debra

You don't often hear Debra mentioned these days despite having had success as a valet in WWE and WCW. At the time, she was one of the finest women in wrestling. Fast forward to 2018, Debra is pretty much looking her age and there is no shame in that. She has certainly changed as far as appearance, which is why she lands on this side of the list. Since leaving the WWE in 2002, Debra has remained away from the wrestling industry and it's easy to see why. It's probably unlikely that she will return to the WWE in any capacity since she didn't leave on the best of terms with the company, as well as her bitter divorce to Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Debra has been outspoken about the domestic abuse she faced in her marriage to Austin, which of course the WWE wouldn't want to be made too public considering that he is one of their biggest stars of all-time. As for Debra, she has continued to enjoy her life outside of wrestling and while her social media accounts indicate she has plenty of fond memories of her time, she has also accepted that her time in the industry was up a long time ago.

8 Looks Exactly The Same: Ivory

Ivory is one of the most influential women of her generation due to her involvement in GLOW, and later on the WWE. Boasting an impressive resume with three WWE Women's Championship to her name, it's easy to see why she was inducted into the 2018 Hall of Fame class. It had been 13 years since we last saw her on WWE television as she had transitioned from a wrestler into a manager late into her career, and Ivory didn't look too different. Once you enter your 50s, there are some people who look nearly unrecognizable compared to past days - especially when it comes to professional wrestlers who don't always age gracefully.

Luckily for her, Ivory is looking very fine for her age. Fans were surprised to see that she hadn't aged much upon her appearance at the Hall of Fame ceremony, managing to capture the attention of the WWE Universe as she once did. Like many female wrestlers on this list, Ivory is another name who has kept in shape even after hanging up the boots. She never let herself go and has been sharp throughout the entire time in which she was away from the company.

7 Really Changed: Joy Giovanni

If you ask me, Joy Giovanni is looking better at 40 years old than she did in her WWE days. That is pretty impressive considering that she was a glamour model turned wrestler, but she is looking extremely young these days. She is also rocking a natural look in the photo above, and doing so very well as not many women in her demographic could successfully do so. Giovanni only recently joined the over 40 years old club, but can still pass for someone who hasn't yet celebrated their 30th birthday.

During her one year stint in the WWE, she was involved in some major angles despite never actually competing inside the ring.

Giovanni wasn't trained to be a professional wrestler per se, and was mostly involved in swim wear contests as well as steamy segments to get the fans going. Since her exit from the WWE, it appears that Giovanni also left the wrestling industry behind her. A few years ago, she started her own business of massage therapy, so if you happen to be interested in running into Giovanni, that's where you are more likely to find her rather than at any wrestling events or conventions.

6 Looks Exactly The Same: Lilian Garcia

At 51 years old, Lilian Garcia has clearly found the fountain of youth as her appearance hasn't changed the slightest since coming into the WWE. And while she wasn't a professional wrestler, Garcia was listed as a WWE Diva due to her popularity as a ring announcer, as well as involvement in many storylines. She also made history by becoming the first Diva to remain with the WWE for ten years - an impressive feat that has yet to be matched. In 2016, she left announcing behind for various ventures although she does make an appearance from time to time.

And while fans always expect her to at least show some signs of ageing, Garcia manages to shock us all every single time. We aren't sure what her secret is, but would love for Garcia to share it with the rest of the world - especially some of the female stars listed here. Her most recent appearance in the WWE came at WrestleMania 34 when she announced the first ever women's Battle Royal, and as expected, Garcia was still looking as fine as ever.

5 Really Changed: The Kat

Stacy Carter, also known as The Kat, was once arguably the finest woman in wrestling. That's exactly why Jerry Lawler went out of his way to wife her back in the day, although their marriage wouldn't last too long. She was mostly known for her looks more than anything else, and considering how little talent she had, as well as the controversy surrounding her, then it's no surprise that she didn't enjoy a lengthy career. She was only employed by the WWE for two years prior to her release, which was reportedly due to her backstage antics that had upset management to the point of no return.

Since then, she has made some appearances for independent promotions although she wasn't exactly sought after for obvious reasons. Today, we can all agree that she looks than the majority of people her age. But being a former WWE Diva who was used as an eye candy, and compared to some of her peers, she hasn't aged as well as fans would have predicted back in the day.

4 Looks Exactly The Same: Layla El

It's been three years since Layla El's final appearance on WWE television. The winner of the 2006 WWE Diva Search had an impressive career, especially when comparing her to other contestants. She became the only participant to win the WWE Women's Championship, as Layla constantly improved during her time in the WWE. In her early beginnings, Layla was mostly used as eye candy in some steamy segments along with Kelly Kelly. But she quickly progressed over the upcoming years, proving that she has more to offer than looks. Layla would also become one half of the dominant team LayCool in which she teamed up with her good friend Michelle McCool to wreak havoc on the SmackDown roster.

Throughout her WWE career, she was also one of the finest Divas around thanks to her gorgeous features as well as a fine body that made fans salivate. Her 41st birthday is coming up next month and it doesn't seem like she is quite ready to show any signs of slowing down yet. After retiring from wrestling, Layla hasn't been spotted much in the public eye - preferring to mostly live away from the limelight. But the few photos around show that Layla hasn't aged a day since she last graced our television screens.

3 Really Changed: Jazz

Jazz was one of the many talented female wrestlers who could have been used much better by the WWE. Unfortunately, she came at a time when sex appeal was extremely crucial to the WWE product. And she certainly looked fine in her younger days, while simultaneously displaying her in-ring talent. With her last WWE appearance being in 2007, some may have thought that Jazz has called it a career but that couldn't be further from the truth. Jazz has remained very active on the independent scene - working for different promotions around the world.

And while she has retained her wrestling ability, the same cannot be said about her youthful appearance.

Jazz has clearly aged quite a bit since we last saw her to the point where some fans may struggle to identify her upon first sight. That goes to show that being healthy doesn't always guarantee that father time may not come around, as evident by the photo above. If you are hoping to see Jazz back in the WWE, whether it's for an appearance or a Hall of Fame induction, then chances are that won't be anytime soon since she had been involved in a lawsuit against the company.

2 Looks Exactly The Same: Trish Stratus

At 42 years old, Trish Stratus doesn't look different than her WWE days. She has certainly been fortunate to win the genetics lottery, as not many women retain their looks into their 40s. If she were to join the WWE again, then not many new fans would have question marks about her presence as she passes for a younger Superstar. Trish has also kept in top shape thanks to her lifestyle in which she prioritizes fitness above all else. She has also produced her very own workouts, and there is no doubt that Stratus' yoga has aided in reversing the clock.

One could say that she is pulling the female version of DDP although Stratus manages to look even better than ever. Her WWE appearances have been very sporadic over the last few years, but every time Stratus is on television, fans can't help but feel young again as Stratus tends to bring out that type of energy. She was already considered to be one of the hottest female wrestlers in history, and considering how well she has aged, then it may be time to place her at the very top of the list.

1 Really Changed: Sable

There aren't many female wrestlers that reached the popularity of Sable. Not only did she become a huge draw in the Attitude Era, but she was also gracing the cover of the world's most infamous magazines and other top publications. Sable launched the Divas era to new heights as many who came after her were modelled in her image by the WWE. And while fans will always remember her as the woman who could capture the attention of any man, things have changed with time. Since her departure from the WWE, Sable has kept a very low profile with her public appearances getting very few over the years.

She is usually spotted tagging along with Brock Lesnar, who also leads a very private lifestyle and lives far from the urban lifestyle most wrestlers enjoy. That is likely the reason as to why her personality has significantly changed. There was a time when Sable loved the spotlight and attempted to get as much attention as possible. But now that she is older and her looks have faded away, she is in no rush to be in the public eye. She has been kept busy with her children, dedicating most of her time to them and Lesnar.
