Triple H made some incredibly insensitive comments looking for laugh and Paige along with fellow WWE Backstage host Renee Young, have called him out for it.

During an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Triple H was discussing the possibility of names like Edge and Paige returning to the ring as competitors. While he admitted he’d love to see it, there’s the health risks involved that WWE is always thinking about. Saying Edge has a wife and kids and “Paige might have kids she doesn’t know about,” he said. WWE always wants to think about the human being first he claimed.

The comments didn’t go unnoticed and he certainly didn’t think about how Paige, the person, might feel after he’d said them.

Paige took to Twitter and noted, “Even my boss jokes about me, no wonder you guys still do it too.”

This was certainly not Triple H’s finest moment. While it got a bit of laugh from what seemed to be a empathetic room of interviewers (likely why he said it) it was in poor taste and definitely not something a boss should be saying about one of his employees.

WWE host Renee Young was also not impressed and backed Paige on Twitter saying,  “Big love to Paige. She’s been to hell and back but still some people wanna make jokes. We need (and she deserves) real change.”

Not Good Publicity For HHH

This is just not good news for Triple H who is bound to be staring down the barrel of a barrage of questions regarding his statements. He’s best suited to publicly apologize as quickly as he can, not only because it would be the right thing to do but because he’s destined to be taking over WWE one day and this kind of thing is the last thing he needs following him around and potentially overshadowing his trying to improve NXT and WWE.

Fans shouldn’t be surprised if he uses a platform like WWE Backstage to make sure people are aware of how much he regrets what he said.
