WWE superstar Paige suffered an apparent shoulder injury during a show in Uniondale, New York on Wednesday. According to spectators, Paige fell to the ground and was attended to by officials after taking a kick from Sasha Banks. The match was immediately called off, and there were no immediate updates on her condition.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Paige was seen at a bar after the show and seemed fine. It’s believed that she only suffered a “mild stinger.” But according to PWInsider.com, Paige has been taken out of this weekend’s remaining WWE shows.

Paige required neck surgery late last year, and didn’t return to the ring for 13 months. As such, there was immediate concern about her health, as neck injuries can be career-ending.

Paige is just 25 years of age and entering the prime years of her wrestling career. She missed over a year of action, so it would have been devastating if the injury was serious. Thankfully, it appears to be nothing serious.

Prior to defeating Sasha Banks on the Dec. 4, 2017, episode of Monday Night Raw, Paige hadn’t wrestled since June 27, 2016. She was suspended twice last summer for violating the company’s wellness policy, then needed the aforementioned neck surgery.

Since returning to the company, Paige has formed the Absolution alliance with Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose – where they’ve attacked most of the female superstars on the Raw roster.

Last week, Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon announced that the very first all-women’s Royal Rumble will take place at next month’s pay-per-view. If Paige is healthy and cleared to return by then, you can bet she’ll be one of the favorites to win the event.

For now, the focus is on her long-term health. While we await further updates on her condition, us fans can only hope that the injury isn’t serious nor something that will keep her out long-term.
