Bray Wyatt is set to defend his Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble, and after that, an even greater challenge may await The Fiend.

On last week's episode of SmackDown Live, Kane had a brief confrontation with the Universal Champion. That could very well have marked the starting point of a potential showdown between the two superstars in short time.

WrestleTalk shared a photo that advertises Kane vs. Wyatt at the next upcoming event in Saudi Arabia. The website did acknowledge that this photo could end up being a fake, so make sure you take the tease here with a grain of salt.

But there are many reasons to believe that a match could happen. Their brief meeting on SmackDown Live suggested that another showdown would take place at some point, and Wyatt will need a new opponent when his program with Bryan concludes.

It's worth noting that Kane has been confirmed for this Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view, though it remains to be seen if he'll actually compete in the 30-man showdown.

WWE has also been giving Wyatt a serious push since he defeated Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel three months ago to become the new Universal Champion. They could help enhance his push by having Wyatt defeat another dominant and imposing superstar like Kane.

The belief is that Wyatt will end up facing Roman Reigns -- the Royal Rumble favorite -- at WrestleMania 36. Well, Kane would certainly be a top tier opponent for the Fiend leading up to the grandest of stages.

Kane vs. Wyatt Would Make For A Great Show

WWE likes to bring back a handful of legends for their shows in Saudi Arabia. That's why it would make perfect sense to bring Kane back, and he'd unquestionably provide Wyatt with a formidable opponent. Given the similarities between their characters -- mysterious, horror-themed and merciless -- a Kane vs. Wyatt showdown would be a show to remember.
