20 NWO Return

via cagesideseats.com

According to Hulk Hogan himself, things are happening behind the scenes. Hogan confirmed his appearance at Crown Jewel and it is said that he’s also working on other future appearances with WWE.

One of those appearances might happen with his nWo buddies. This can be an easy way to ease The Hulkster back on TV – surely, it’ll deflect a lot of that negative energy while putting the emphasis on the faction. According to the recent rumors, nWo is set for a Hall of Fame induction this year. Meaning, Vince is likely to reintroduce the faction sooner rather than later.

19 Repeat Royal Rumble Winner

via stillrealtous.com

Following Crown Jewel, the big two PPVs loom near. Surely, Vince is already thinking about next year’s Royal Rumble which is just a couple of months away. In fact, McMahon might have already thought of a winner. Speculation suggests that the winner of the 2019 Royal Rumble will be a repeat victor of the match.

The most popular option is The Undertaker. John Cena is another strong contender. We can also see the surprising scenarios of The Rock or Shawn Michaels winning it all. Brock Lesnar wouldn’t be a favorable outcome, at least according to fan opinion. Rey Mysterio can be another option, one that’s a lot more intriguing than Brock. However at this point, Undertaker and John Cena remain the real favorites. We’ll see how things play out post Crown Jewel.

18 Wyatt Family Reunion

via fansided.com

Bray Wyatt has been off television for a while now. His status remains up in the air. It was previously rumored that he was to return with an entirely different gimmick. He was also supposed to enjoy a big time push as a babyface.

However, new rumors to emerge suggest WWE might be waiting on Bray due to Rowan’s recent injury. Meaning, WWE might be plotting a return of The Wyatt Family. This can be a great move and one the fans might buy into. Looking at the potential, how great would it be to see The Wyatt Family lock up against Sanity?

17 Improved Live Events

via ewrestlingnews.com

During McMahon’s recent Q3 earnings call, the boss discussed the future of live events. McMahon was hit with a question pertaining to low attendance numbers at these events. However, Vince wasn’t all that rattled claiming the WWE has the answer to this question.

We might see all of that play out following the Crown Jewel. WWE is always looking to improve their financial game and with the big overseas shows done for a little while, post Crown Jewel can be the perfect time to get started. As for what Vince has in mind to improve the live events, that remains to be seen but we hope it is something good.

16 The Rise Of Finn Balor

via wwe.com

With Roman Reigns on the sidelines Vince is now scrambling for the next one.

According to the online speculation, Finn Balor might be the guy to replace Roman Reigns at the top of the totem pole. WWE had previously tried this out. Had it not been for an untimely injury, perhaps Balor would have ran with the position as the top face in the WWE.

He might be getting a second chance and his win over Bobby Lashley might have been a big time sign. If this is to be true, look for Finn to endure a heavy push following the Crown Jewel event.

15 The Rise Of Seth Rollins

via wwe.com

The second option with Roman out would be to push Seth Rollins. Arguably, Rollins remains one of the most over talents on the entire Raw roster and you can also argue he’s at the very top these days. Now this is only speculation but perhaps WWE pulling the trigger on an Ambrose-Rollins feud this early might mean that the company has bigger plans for Seth moving forward.

Can a Universal Championship run be on the horizon? It is a definite possibly. At this point, both Seth and Finn look to be the top candidates to be the next big babyface with the company.

14 Team Angle Versus Team Corbin

via foxsportsasia.com

In comparison to the last couple of years, the Survivor Series formula might be changing this year. The Raw versus SmackDown theme was a popular one. However, plans seem to be different. As of post Crown Jewel, look for the heat between Baron Corbin and Kurt Angle to only intensify. According to the current speculation, the winner of the match will have full control of Raw.

Look for Elias to play a big part in this bout. WWE has major plans to turn him into a babyface. Aligning with Kurt Angle can be the perfect way for Elias to gain more fan support.

13 Triple H & Batista Feud

via wwe.com

Dave Meltzer said it best following Batista’s WWE return: "the man himself doesn’t even know how valuable and popular he is these days."

The Animal turned into a major actor during his time away from the WWE.

This has increased his value big time. As for the popular factor, that was on full display during his return.

WWE would be foolish not to capitalize on this potential gold mine of a story. Batista is clearly over with the audience while the fans completely ate up a tease between Triple H and Batista. This can be a solid scenario to develop into WrestleMania season.

12 Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre Feud

via rollingstone.com

We’re not entirely sure what the future holds for Braun Strowman. Some believe he might be the next Universal Champion while others believe he’ll be passed up once again.

No matter how the Universal Title picture plays out, look for a feud between Strowman and Drew McIntyre to take shape. We can also see the scenario of McIntyre costing Braun the Universal Championship. Even in the event that Strowman wins the title look for Drew to be one his first opponents. McMahon is really high on McIntyre these days, and this is one of those feuds he already has penciled in for after Crown Jewel. In fact, the two already have some major heat in the recent weeks.

11 Potential Four Horsewomen Matchup

via losangelestimes.com

There really isn’t many signs just yet, especially with Women’s Evolution looming near. However, once the PPV is up, a potential feud between UFC’s Four Horsewomen and the WWE’s version might be next on the table. According to the rumors, Vince is very high on this potential matchup. It wouldn’t be all that stunning if things start to heat up at the Evolution event.

This can be a big time Survivor Series matchup and one that can make sense given Ronda Rousey’s limited amount of opponents over on Raw.

She needs something big for Survivor Series and this Eight Women’s Tag match might be the perfect scenario.

10 Charlotte Versus Asuka

via wwe.com

This is the second Women’s scenario currently discussed behind the scenes. A potential rematch between these two can be a real big deal even if the WWE has managed to squander Asuka since that very match. It might be the perfect scenario on route to making the former NXT Champion great again.

Of course, in order for this match to unfold we’ll have to see a lot more of Asuka. Look for this to take shape following the Evolution event. In all likelihood, she wins her Evolution match and later, turns heel on Charlotte setting up the feud between the two. That would be the likely way for this encounter to develop.

9 Authors Of Pain In Line For Tag Championship Push

via wwe.com

Due to the recent developments on Raw, the Tag Team Championship scene appears to be in complete disarray. Rollins and Ambrose won the titles. However, the momentum was completely squandered due to Dean’s surprising turn.

The future of the Raw Tag Team Championship remains a big question mark.

However, looking at the Raw roster, it appears as though the Authors of Pain are now in line for a mega push. In all likelihood, they’ll be the ones to win the Tag Titles and endure a dominant push post Crown Jewel.

8 Dean Ambrose Becomes A Major Heel

via wrestleyard.com

Speaking of Dean Ambrose. Look for the former Shield member to become one of the biggest heels in the entire WWE. With all the injuries pilling up, WWE has been forced to change the trajectory for many of their wrestlers. Raw has a shortage of heels. Bobby Lashley was one wrestler forced into turning because of it.

With Elias turning babyface the company desperately needed something big on the villain side. Enter Dean Ambrose.

Look for that to continue post Crown Jewel. He’s off to a brilliant start gaining lots of heat due to his recent turn. Expect that to continue for quite some time.

7 Rey Mysterio & Nakamura Extended

via f4wonline.com

It's great to see Rey Mysterio back in a WWE ring. And although we would love to see something wacky like an LWO reunion, that doesn’t appear to be the plan at least for the time being.

According to the speculation, Rey is likely to extend his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura following the Crown Jewel event. This can be a perfect scenario to ease Mysterio back in the WWE while working with a great opponent. Such a feud can hit its peak at Survivor Series as the two potentially lock horns for a second time.

Mysteiro and Nakamura together is never a bad idea.

6 NXT Call Ups

via tsj101sports.com

After every major PPV, WWE typically calls up at least one Superstar from NXT. Following the Crown Jewel event, it will be up to Vince to decide who that might be especially with Survivor Series looming. It is expected that a bunch of NXT talents might be debuting after the November PPV.

When it comes to talent that is main roster ready, there is seriously no shortage from The Undisputed Era, Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, Nikki Cross and Velveteen Dream, only to name a few. Surely, one or more of those names will be on the main roster before the conclusion of 2018.

5 WrestleMania... Still Wide Open

via vavel.com

According to the word backstage, WrestleMania is still wide open this year. Even when Roman Reigns was in full health with the company, his opponent for the event was unknown. We assume that dilemma might be even worse nowadays with Reigns on the sidelines.

Come Survivor Series, WWE usually likes to hint at possible WrestleMania matches. This might be the case this year as well. Following the Crown Jewel event, look for Vince to finally give us a bit of a WrestleMania preview by hinting at some potential matches. However as of now, the main event and card itself remains as wide open as ever before.

4 The Rock Returns

via wwe.com

Is the Great One finally coming back home? At the moment, that’s one of the biggest questions. Following the Crown Jewel event, this will start to get clearer and clearer as to whether or not this is an actual possibility.

The rumor mill suggests he’ll return for WrestleMania. However, with Elias recently turning babyface and Roman on the side, an opponent for The Rock doesn’t really seem all that clear. Nonetheless, there are still opponents fans would love to see The Rock take on including a certain Mr. WrestleMania.

3 Shawn Michaels Survivor Series and WrestleMania Plans

via wwe.com

It seems to be all a dream but in fact, it is reality as Shawn Michaels is returning to the ring come Crown Jewel. However, post-Crown Jewel might see more matches from The Showstopper. This will be quite the story leading into Survivor Series, another event HBK knows all too well. According to rumor, Michaels might be taking on The Undertaker at the November PPV.

His return might be extended up until WrestleMania. As for a possible opponent; The Rock and HBK would be a dream match. However, fans would rather see something else.

AJ Styles against Shawn Michaels seems to be the likely scenario for the event.

2 The Undertaker’s Last Ride

via postandcourier.com

If the rumors are true, this might be it for The Undertaker, but for real now. Following Crown Jewel, The Undertaker might have only a couple of matches left in the tank. The current speculation suggests that 'Taker is to be inducted into the Hall of Fame prior to his last WrestleMania appearance.

As for the opponent on the night, that remains unknown. However, given their match last year, it might make a lot of sense for John Cena to be the one in such a historical match.

Now we might be looking too far ahead but how perfect would it be for Cena to break the championship record reign while retiring The Undertaker?

Such a scenario would write itself.

1 Brock Lesnar, The Temporary Champion

via wwe.com

Brock Lesnar might be the favorite to win the Universal Championship come Crown Jewel. Perhaps the WWE are still looking at the options meaning Lesnar can be the perfect temporary place holder. However, in all likelihood, his title run would be a short-term one.

If he is to win the championship at Crown Jewel, he might drop the title as early as Survivor Series.

It is all a matter of Vince finding who the next one is at this point. The favorites for such a position are Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. The title picture is going to become a lot clearer post-Crown Jewel.
