WrestleMania season has wrapped up, leaving us with plenty of memories in the process. Although we’ve got another 12 months of WWE to look forward to between now and the next instalment in New York, it’s always a great time to predict the card we’ll be seeing on that night. There will likely be plenty of change between now and then, so it becomes a tad bit harder to predict, but we’ve come up with a card that we think would be easy to sit through, offer enough variety, and have several great wrestling matches, and we know that everyone has different tastes, but this should cater to most people.

There's a chance that some of the bigger names in the WWE will be gone by next year, and several NXT stars may be promoted between now and then, and we’re sure that another one of this articles will be published between now and then, but for now, this is our dream WrestleMania 35 card, so let us know what you think, and how WWE’s real card will compare to ours.

(Authors note: Matches 15-12 will be on the pre-show, and even though we’d prefer a shorter length WrestleMania, it’s clear that they’d like 11 matches on the main show, so that’s what we are giving them.)

15 WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

This year the WWE introduced the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, and although it originally wasn’t named as well as the men’s counterpart, it’s a good way to get the rest of the roster on the biggest card of the year, and even if it’s not one of the best matches on the card, it’s here to stay, just because it fills up the card and gets those people on the card. There won’t be much to note about this match, especially if the winner is as unimportant as it has been in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal, but it’s a good way to introduce some NXT stars. Depending on who is called up between now and then, someone like Candice LeRae or Ember Moon is a good idea to come out victorious, but either way, this gets everyone on the card, and fills up the preshow entertainment.

14 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

This will mark the sixth Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and even though it’s become basically pointless, with no winner capitalizing on the momentum attained from the victory, it’s still a good way to pad the pre-show. It also gives everyone a chance to wrestle in front of the biggest crowd of the year at ‘Mania. Using this to elevate someone like Tommaso Ciampa or Kassius Ohno from NXT is the best way to use this match, and it can have some fun returns and moments, but outside of that, it’s just a way to pad the pre-show, like the women’s battle royal. The ‘Mania card is always too long, but they seem intent on keeping the two-hour pre show before the main card, so this is something we’ll keep around, for better or worse, and just hope that WWE find a way to capitalize on it.

13 The Bollywood Boyz vs. Cedric Alexander & Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese & Drew Gulak vs. Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher – WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships

The rumors are that WWE may be looking to deepen the 205 Live product by introducing Tag Team titles soon, and that would be the perfect way to give the other performers on the show something to do, and although this one features the two men who will do battle for the title at WrestleMania 34, it is bound to be a fantastic match. A Fatal 4-Way is the best way to go about it, as it would allow a majority of the cruiserweight division to be on the card (albeit the pre-show), and knowing the quality of performance that these eight men are capable of, it could steal the show. This one is definitely up in the air, as WWE hasn’t announced anything regarding the titles, but it seems like a natural progression for the cruiserweight division. While it would be good to get every title match on the main card, it would be understandable to see this one on the pre-show.

12 The Bludgeon Brothers vs. The Authors of Pain – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships

This one would unfortunately fall to the pre-show, despite the fact that it’s going to be quite a great hoss battle, but it makes perfect sense for these two to go up against each other, with the undefeated Authors of Pain challenging for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship. The AOP have come on leaps and bounds in NXT over the past two years, and Harper & Rowan are one of the most talented big man duos in WWE history, so this would actually give us all a reason to tune into the WrestleMania pre-show. Unfortunately, SmackDown just hasn’t booked the tag team division (or the US title division) that well over the past year, and even though this will be a great match, it’s unlikely that they focus on the tag teams between now and then, and that’s why this one is demoted to the pre-show.

11 John Cena vs. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was once touted as a future World Heavyweight Champion by Vince McMahon, but that didn’t pan out, and he’s had to do it the hard way, making his way all around the world before rejoining WWE down in NXT. After a run as NXT Champion, he’s ready to return, and by WrestleMania 35, he should be one of the biggest stars on the roster. This may not be a Championship bout, but a match with one of WWE’s biggest ever stars will prove that they have faith in the Scot, and with his performances since rejoining NXT, it’s believable that he’d do anything in his power to make this the show stealer. Sure, Cena is past his prime, but he can still go in the ring, and it’s about time that he starts putting over future stars. With a big match at WrestleMania, it would solidify McIntyre as a main event player for years to come.

10 Pete Dunne vs. Ricochet – WWE Cruiserweight Championship

This one may not happen, due to the fact that neither of these men are currently on 205 Live, but if WWE want to give us the best matches for WrestleMania, this is one that certainly needs to happen, as the chemistry and opposing styles of these men would make for an intriguing and phenomenal match on the Grandest Stage. Dunne is absolutely brutal in his attack of the limbs, and Ricochet will pull out moves that no one else in the entire world is capable of. On a stage like WrestleMania, these two would step it up to the next level. On this card, there are plenty of great, pure wrestling matches, but none would top this, and it would continue to show how 205 Live is one of the best weekly wrestling programs in the entire world.

9 The Miz vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas

The Miz is one of the hottest performers in the WWE today, and Andrade Almas is the hottest in NXT, and once the current Champion is called up, he’ll need a marquee bout (without a title being on the line, as we have bigger plans for that), and a battle with The Miz is just the way to give him that opportunity. Both of these performers have fantastic managers too, and it could even become a mixed tag team match if they decide to go that way. Nonetheless, it would be a great in ring battle, and despite being lower on the card, it could be one of the best matches on the card. Obviously The Miz needs his match with Daniel Bryan, and if he’s still with the WWE following his expiring contract in September, that would take place in the main event of WrestleMania 36, so this gives The Miz another great match in the lead up to that.

8 The New Day vs. Balor Club

The New Day are one of the most entertaining acts to ever come along in the WWE, but they need to move on from the tag team scene soon, and this should be the thing to break them up (in a way, they should stay together but all pursue separate goals within the WWE), and it would make the trio of Finn Balor, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows seem like a genuine force following their 2018 heel turn once they join SmackDown Live. The WWE seem intent on making Finn a top star, but their booking of him suggests otherwise. After his performances in Japan as a heel, it’s clear that that’s what will make him a star in WWE, and a victory here would do just that. Following a win, he’d be in line for a huge singles push on SmackDown Live.

7 Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Ruby Riott vs. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch vs. Ember Moon – Ladder match For The WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

The SmackDown Women’s Championship was defended in one of the biggest WrestleMania women's matches ever, and next year, we predict Asuka will be competing for the RAW Women’s title, so giving plenty of women a shot for the Smackdown title is the best way to go about it. Over the past few years, we’ve seen the Intercontinental Championship defended in a Ladder match, so putting the women in such a bout would continue to show WWE’s dedication to equality, and with the caliber of performers involved, it would be a fantastic match. There has only been one ladder match in women’s history in the WWE, so it likely won’t be as good as a men’s ladder match, considering they’ve been happening for 20+ years, but they showed how talented they were in this type of match during the 2017 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, and it would be another great, high energy bout for ‘Mania.

6 Braun Strowman vs. Samoa Joe vs. Big Cass vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn– WWE United States Championship Scramble Match

Unfortunately at WrestleMania, not everyone can get a top-notch singles match, and although these five are definitely capable of it, this year just isn’t their year, and with the United States Championship on the line, why not bring back one of WWE’s most underrated match concepts? The Championship Scramble was used by WWE in the late 2000s, and while it came during one of the worst times in their history, it was a unique and innovative idea, in which five guys competed for 20 minutes, and every pinfall would make a competitor the champion momentarily, and whoever got the last pinfall before the time limit expired would be the champion. With the talent of all five men involved, they could no doubt make this an exciting one, and whether it’s good or not, this is the only way to get these guys in a marquee WrestleMania match.

5 Ronda Rousey vs. Asuka – WWE RAW Women’s Championship

Asuka is the most dominant female performer in WWE history, that much can never be denied, and whether or not Ronda Rousey ends her undefeated streak here (I’d much prefer someone from NXT) or not, this is a match that needs to happen, especially if Rousey can continue to improve as an in-ring performer. Sure, it won’t be as good as Charlotte/Asuka, but in terms of legitimate contenders to Asuka, Rousey is seemingly the only woman available for the spot, and it should be a good enough bout. By this time, Rousey should be one of the biggest heels on the roster, as she’s already getting booed by a fair amount of the WWE Universe, so that would make it even bigger of a match, and it could even set up Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler, Ember Moon, and plenty of the next generation of female stars in WWE.

4 The Usos vs. The Revival – WWE RAW Tag Team Championships

The Usos have been the standout tag team of 2018, and if the Superstar Shakeup/Draft is done right, it will give them fresh opponents for 2018, and if WWE truly are looking to push the tag team division, a match-up with the best tag team in NXT history is a MUST. We saw what The Revival can do with DIY, Enzo & Cass, The Authors of Pain and American Alpha, so pitting them with the hottest tag team in WWE would allow them to be the dastardly heels they are, while maintaining the perfect in-ring performances that they’ve had so far. Sure, the WWE have their work cut out for them in making The Revival a threat again, especially after their unfortunate injuries since being called to the main roster, but we’ve seen how they perform when given the opportunity, and this is the perfect match for both teams to get their huge WrestleMania moment.

3 Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro – WWE Intercontinental Championship

Roman Reigns and Cesaro have one of the best in-ring rivalries in recent WWE memory, and with Sheamus’ WWE career slowing down due to injury, it’s time for Cesaro to get a genuine singles push. Although this isn’t a WrestleMania main event for a World Championship, it’s a bout with someone who will have main evented four straight ‘Mania events for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. If given enough time, this one would be an absolute clinic, and would conceivably give ‘Mania three to four main event caliber matches, and if Cesaro delivers like we know he would, it could lead to a much bigger, well deserved push. This would also give Reigns a chance for another fantastic, high profile bout, without having the fans completely turn against him in the main event, and would give Cesaro the chance he deserves at a singles push.

2 Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles – WWE Universal Championship

AJ Styles is easily the best wrestler in the world, and you’ll find few people who can argue with that sentiment, and Seth Rollins is likely the one who will take that crown from him one day, so with a move to Smackdown Live in the upcoming Draft, this giant stage is the perfect place for these two phenomenal athletes to have their first singles bout. Things can definitely change between now and then for it to be contested face vs. heel, but a face vs. face bout would give us a high octane thriller, the likes of which you’ll rarely see in the WWE. AJ is definitely ageing, but it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down in the ring at all, and with so many dream matches left (Bryan, Rollins, Angle, plenty of NXT stars), this will tick off the biggest one, and it’s likely the best of the lot.

1 Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Daniel Bryan – WWE Championship

This match is a dream bout for both men, as they roomed together while training over a decade ago, and after Bryan was recently cleared to compete, it is one that has to happen. However, the WWE shouldn’t force it, and they should wait 12 months until this event next year up in New York. If Bryan can prove he is fully healthy for the next year, these two could let it all fly in the ring, and with the similar background and styles of both men, it would make for an incredible match. This should be the second time that Bryan closes a WrestleMania, and whether he wins or not, it would give both men another iconic ‘Mania moment, and this would tick off one of the three biggest dream matches for Bryan, with The Miz and Kurt Angle being the other two.
