Randy Orton Breaks Character To Console Shane McMahon's Son At Survivor Series

By this point, it's a given Shane McMahon will do something crazy whenever he takes part in a match, but that doesn't make it any easier for a child to see their father in pain. After Shane took this insane spear when attempting a coast-to-coast, Shane O'Mac looked to be seriously hurt.

Word is that Shane was in a lot of pain leaving the arena last night and received treatment following his elimination from the Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown match.

While the medics were checking on Shane in the ring, Orton checked on Shane, then immediately left the ring to go over to Shane's wife and son to update them on McMahon's condition. Being a heel and under the influence of Bray Wyatt kayfabe wise, Orton basically broke character to reassure the McMahon family. He provided his reasoning on Twitter when a fan mentioned it.

I'm a father. I know what it's like to have your kids ringside when shit goes sideways... https://t.co/9rtaCp48sJ

We've seen wrestlers break character before when they feel it's necessary and it was quite the classy move by Orton. Speaking of being a father, Orton is also expecting a new baby girl tomorrow, so perhaps his fatherly instincts were really kicking in.
