Randy Orton has made a name for himself on the big stage of WrestleMania. The Viper is a sure-fire WWE Hall of Famer, after the exceptional career he has had in WWE. Orton is a 14-time World Champion, and his talent is untapped. Orton continues to have memorable matches, and when he is motivated, there's no one on the roster that is better than him.

Moreover, The Apex Predator is no stranger to putting on some legendary performances at WrestleMania. However, not all of Orton's first 10 matches at WrestleMania were great, with some of them being lackluster bouts. Nevertheless, Orton rises to the occasion when given the chance to prove his worth.

10 Randy Orton Vs. Kane - WrestleMania XXVIII

Orton v Kane WM 28

2012 was one of the most underwhelming years in Randy Orton's career. For the first time since 2005, Orton failed to win a championship which was surprising for someone of his caliber. At WrestleMania XXVIII, The Viper squared off with fellow veteran Kane, who had just finished a lackluster program with John Cena.

In all fairness, this wasn't a bad match, but it just failed to cut the mustard to be a WrestleMania quality match. The two former world champions are amongst the most reliable workers in the business, but it was a poor night for both men. Nonetheless, Kane prevailed with a Chokeslam off the top rope, registering his first singles victory at WrestleMania in four years.

9 Randy Orton, Sheamus & Big Show Vs. The Shield - WrestleMania 29

Mania 29

Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins are collectively known as The Shield. The three-man collective wreaked havoc on the main roster since they made their debut at Survivor Series 2012. The trio made their WrestleMania debut against Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show in a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania 29.

Unfortunately, Orton was unlucky to not have a meaningful feud heading into WrestleMania for the second year running. Nonetheless, The Viper had the privilege of opening up proceedings at Mania. Orton had a good outing, but he blindsided his teammates by forcing his way into the match. It proved to be a costly decision as Ambrose clinched the victory with Orton taking the fall.

8 Money In The Bank Ladder Match - WrestleMania 23

Randy Orton RKO's CM Punk off a ladder

The third iteration of the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23 was star-studded. Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Edge, Matt Hardy, King Booker, Finlay, CM Punk, and Mr. Kennedy all collided for the chance to be Mr. Money in the Bank.

Whilst it was a marquee match on the card, it felt like many of the big names were thrown together as they did not have huge feuds going into Mania. Orton and Edge began the year as World Tag Team Champions, and despite both being heels, they could have stolen the show at Mania in a one-on-one showdown. Nevertheless, it was a good performance from Orton, who executed an awe-inspiring RKO off the ladder to Punk. Kennedy emerged from the field as the winner.

7 Randy Orton Vs. Triple H - WrestleMania XXV

Orton v HHH WM 25

The animosity between Randy Orton and Triple H was there for everyone to see in their feud which dominated the majority of 2009. The Viper won his maiden Royal Rumble match, and Triple H reclaimed the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out which brought the two together.

Nonetheless, WrestleMania XXV was Orton's huge moment as it was his first WrestleMania main event in his sixth consecutive Mania appearance. Unfortunately, the match fell flat, well below expectations that both were expected to deliver on the big stage. Orton should have prevailed, considering the build-up into this match, but he had to settle for winning the title at Backlash.

6 Randy Orton Vs. Cody Rhodes Vs. Ted DiBiase - WrestleMania XXVI

WM 26

Legacy imploded at the start of 2010 with Cody Rhodes costing Orton the chance to regain the WWE Championship from Sheamus at the Royal Rumble. Legacy was a huge stable that helped shape up Rhodes and Ted DiBiase's careers.

At WrestleMania XXVI, Orton, Rhodes, and DiBiase finally confronted each other in a triple threat match. The Viper was now a face and received huge backing from the crowd. Rhodes and DiBiase worked as a cohesive unit for the majority of this contest until they inevitably turned on one another. Moreover, Orton seized the opportunity and won the match after planting DiBiase with his patented RKO.

5 Evolution Vs. Rock N' Sock Connection - WrestleMania XX

Evolution v Rock n Sock

Mick Foley was on the receiving end of several beatings from Evolution, most notably Randy Orton, who he feuded with from late 2003-early 2004. Foley refused to stay down, showing his never-say-die attitude. However, Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy called an old friend in The Rock, who aided him to take on Evolution at WrestleMania XX.

The combination of Flair, Batista, and the reigning Intercontinental Champion Orton collided with The Rock n' Sock Connection in a Handicap match. This was Orton and Batista's in-ring debut at WrestleMania, and they put on a respectable performance. Batista planted Rock with a devastating Batista Bomb but Rock kicked out. Ultimately, this night belonged to Orton and Evolution as The Legend Killer nailed Foley with an RKO out of nowhere for the win.

4 Randy Orton Vs. Kurt Angle Vs. Rey Mysterio - WrestleMania 22

WM 22

The road to WrestleMania 22 was bumpy with many twists and turns. Randy Orton stole Rey Mysterio's World Heavyweight Title spot at No Way Out 2006 to book his place at WrestleMania 22. Nevertheless, SmackDown GM Teddy Long reinstated Mysterio to make it a triple threat match for Kurt Angle's World Heavyweight Championship.

WrestleMania 22 was a brilliant Mania, but it is a crime that Angle, Mysterio, and Orton only received nine minutes. Nevertheless, all three had magnificent in-ring chemistry to make this a memorable bout. Against all the odds, Mysterio pinned Orton after landing a picture-perfect West Coast Pop, which Orton sold beautifully for Mysterio to capture his maiden World Championship.

3 Randy Orton Vs. CM Punk - WrestleMania XXVII

Orton v Punk WM 27

Heading into WrestleMania XXVII, Randy Orton was feuding with CM Punk, who became a thorn in The Viper's side. The Second City Saint cost Orton the chance to regain the WWE Championship from The Miz at the 2011 Royal Rumble. Orton retaliated by taking out every member of Punk's New Nexus, which left Punk lonesome at Mania.

WrestleMania XXVII is one of the worst Manias in history but Orton and Punk delivered at the highest order. Punk showed why he deserved to be WWE Champion by the end of 2011 with an exceptional outing. Ultimately, Orton prevailed with an RKO in mid-air, and both deserve a huge amount of credit for putting on a superb match.

2 Randy Orton Vs. John Cena Vs. Triple H - WrestleMania XXIV

Mania 24

Randy Orton made life extremely hard for himself as the reigning WWE Champion. Orton got himself intentionally disqualified in his WWE Championship match with John Cena at No Way Out 2008. Big Match John won the Royal Rumble match on his return and opted to challenge for the title early.

Meanwhile, Triple H won the Elimination Chamber match which earned him the right to face Orton at WrestleMania XXIV. However, Cena was reinstated back into the match which ultimately became a triple threat encounter. Moreover, Orton was expected to drop the WWE Title in a high-quality match. Nonetheless, Orton proved that he was a fighting champion by saving his title when he punted Triple H and pinned Cena who was on the receiving end of a Pedigree.

1 Randy Orton Vs. The Undertaker - WrestleMania 21

Orton v Undertaker WM 21

Finally, at the start of 2005, Randy Orton turned heel once more, as his first World Heavyweight Title and babyface run failed drastically. Orton squared off with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 21 in The Legend Killer's first singles outing on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

The Deadman made Orton look like a star in this encounter, helping a man who was trying to get his mojo back. Orton had a lot of offense and made people believe that he could end the streak. The Legend Killer countered Undertaker's Chokeslam with an RKO, which was stunning to watch. Ultimately, Orton pushed Undertaker to his limit, but he was just another victim added to Undertaker's WrestleMania streak with Undertaker going 13-0.
