Randy Orton Reveals What He Said To Shane McMahon's Kids At Survivor Series

During the SmackDown vs. Raw Five-on-Five Traditional Elimination Tag Team match at Survivor Series, Shane McMahon appeared to be seriously injured after Roman Reigns Speared him in midair.

Randy Orton broke character and consoled with Shane's family at ringside to ensure that everything was fine. With many of us wondering what he told them, Orton spoke to CBS Sports about the situation.

The Viper discussed how he's been in that situation before. He's worried about having his children ringside while seeing him take heavy hits as well. Here's what he told the McMahon family:

“I told them their dad was a champ and he was a tough dude, and he’s fine, and it’s just part of what we’re doing right now, kids. Don’t worry about it. And they smiled and the wife was happy, and everything was cool...

At first I was like ‘Oh man, I’m blowing my gig, I can’t be that guy. But at the same time, that’s who I am. The people got to see a little side of me and that’s the nurturing father figure that I am for my kids.”

Orton doesn't have a great reputation as a person behind the scenes nor outside of the ring, but this act of kindness goes to show how nice of a person he really can be. With McMahon having three young sons, it was truly awesome to see him break character for a moment like that.
