Raw Recap (02/08/2016)

Stephanie McMahon is out first for the Fastlane main event contract signing. ("Daniel Bryan" chants echo.) Dean Ambrose arrives to call out Brock Lesnar before Roman Reigns appears to back his buddy. Stephanie then introduces "The Beast" who is of course accompanied by Paul Heyman. All three men sign the contract as Stephanie leaves the ring. The scene takes a turn when Lesnar lays out Ambrose and Reigns before Triple H makes his way out to stare down "The Conqueror." (Lesnar should

Backstage: Dean Ambrose tells Roman Reigns that before the night is over he is going to get Brock Lesnar.

Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler

These two guys can go as they prove each and every time they step into the ring with each other. Dolph Ziggler steals the win with some help from the ropes.

Charlotte vs. Alicia Fox

Charlotte looks great in the ring while taking it to Alicia Fox in this victorious outing.

-Miz TV with Chris Jericho-

The Miz talks down about A.J. Styles for a while before Chris Jericho arrives to cut off Miz. Jericho says that the fans do not want to see Miz TV; that they would rather see the Highlight Reel. The crew then disassembles Miz' set and suddenly we're on the Highlight Reel. Jericho and Miz exchange banter (this could be a good feud) while also highlighting Styles ... and here comes "The Phenomenal One." Miz attacks Jericho before Styles intervenes and takes out Miz; leading to fists between Jericho and Styles as hell breaks loose on the Reel.

Bray Wyatt vs. Ryback

"The Big Guy" cannot hang with "The Eater of Worlds" as Bray Wyatt puts Ryback down for the count.

Post-Match: The Wyatt Family continue the assault on Ryback.

Backstage: Dean Ambrose informs Roman Reigns that he doesn't need his help with Brock Lesnar.

Titus O'Neil vs. Adam Rose

Raw was all right up until this point. Nothing spectacular in this match: Adam Rose scores the roll-up win thanks to distractions from the Social Outcasts.

Dean Ambrose heads down to the ring to call out Brock Lesnar who makes his way out to confront Ambrose ... and the fight commences. "The Beast" manhandles Ambrose in a quick and orderly fashion. Lesnar leaves but Ambrose calls him back. Roman Reigns arrives; distracting Lesnar as Ambrose hits the low blow before leaving with Reigns.

Lucha Dragons vs. Rusev and Alberto Del Rio

Solid action in an internationally flavoured match. Alberto Del Rio picks up the pin on Kalisto.

Becky Lynch vs. Tamina

**Sasha Banks on commentary: Sasha says she was the Beyonce of Team B.A.D. Good point.**

Distractions from the outside eventually lead to Becky Lynch tasting the boot of Tamina as the "Lass Kicker" takes the loss in this contest.

The New Day and Mark Henry vs. The Usos and The Dudley Boyz

Mark Henry walks out on The New Day when the trio push "The World's Strongest Man" around too much. This match ends with Big E taking a 3D through a table.

Post-Match: The Dudley Boyz attack The Usos; placing both brothers through a table. (The Dudley's are much better as heels. Good move.)

-Daniel Bryan's Retirement Speech-

The home state crowd of Daniel Bryan erupts for their fallen hero. Eyes water in Seattle as Bryan officially announces his retirement from wrestling. Bryan discusses the things he loves as the fans hang on to his every word. Bryan expresses his gratitude while fighting back emotion. Bryan leads the crowd in one last "Yes" chant as he is greeted by Brie Bella in the ring.

Daniel Bryan

Let's take a moment to appreciate a man who scratched his way through the independent circuit to emerged caked with dirt and become the most disheveled (perhaps aside from Mick Foley) WWE Champion of all time.

Daniel Bryan worked and earned his way to glory in WWE; despite backstage opinion as to whether or not Bryan could be a top performer. Bryan was never a Sports Entertainer but a real Wrestler who the fans grew to adore.

Here's to someone who defied WWE convention and rose above the accepted vision of a WWE Champion.

Happiness and Health for Daniel Bryan.
