Recap

Stephanie McMahon is out first to inform the crowd that he husband will not be on Raw while taking time to insult Roman Reigns and the fans. This brings out Reigns who lets Stephanie know his plans for taking the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H.

Kevin Owens vs. A.J. Styles

These rare moments of real wrestling on Raw are pleasant to watch. Kevin Owens and A.J. Styles tore it up in the ring. The finish would see Owens win with a roll up thanks to a distraction from Chris Jericho.

Post-Match: Kevin Owens gets on the mic to boast about his victory but is soon interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, and Sami Zayn; all of whom demand match for the Intercontinental Championship. Owens says that he is going to talk to The Authority and set-up a #1 Contender's match.

Dean Ambrose is shown at a local Tavern with Terry Funk who gives Ambrose his old chainsaw.

Backstage: Kevin Owens approaches Stephanie McMahon who makes the Tripe Threat #1 Contender's match official.

Big E vs. Rusev

This would prove to be a rough-house-contest which would eventually go to Big E.

The Big Show comes out to put over the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal before being joined by the Social Outcasts who attack Show. The save is made by Kane who takes out the Outcasts and delivers a Choke Slam to Show.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango

In this WrestleMania XXIX rematch, Chris Jericho would make short work of Fandango.

Post-Match: A.J. Styles officially lays out the challenge to face Chris Jericho at WrestleMania.

Kevin Owens announces the participants for the Triple Threat #1 Contender's match:

Stardust vs. Sin Cara vs. Zack Ryder

Sam Zayn, The Miz, and Dolph Ziggler arrive and this match is thrown away when a brawl breaks out.

Backstage: Kevin Owens approaches Stephanie McMahon again who places the Intercontinental Championship on the line at WrestleMania is a seven-man Ladder match.

Stephanie McMahon heads to the parking lot to meet Triple H. As the couple prepare to drive away, Roman Reigns arrives and pulls Triple H from the vehicle. Reigns beats on Triple H for a while but "The Game" escapes.

Charlotte vs. Natalya

In front of Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks sitting ringside, Charlotte pulls off a decisive victory.

Bubba Ray Dudley vs. R-Truth

Quick match here: Bubba Ray Dudley scores the victory.

Post-Match: Goldust makes his way out to help R-Truth but is quickly disposed of as The Usos then make the save.

Vince McMahon is out to once again belittle Shane McMahon. Vince announces that if The Undertaker does not defeat Shane then this will be his last WrestleMania.

Dean Ambrose vs. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman in the main event? Bray Wyatt is a main event player, Strowman is not. Nevertheless, this happened. "This is boring" chants from the Philadelphia crowd. Dean Ambrose pulls out a steel chair and is disqualified for his actions.

Going Forward

The WrestleMania main event still doesn't have that "big fight" feel. Who knows, this match could steal the show but it seems highly unlikely.

Now that the Intercontinental Championship has been placed on the line in a Ladder match, this will surely be the most exciting match on the card.

When the fifty-year-old Undertaker takes on the forty-six-year-old Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match, do not expect fireworks; sparklers perhaps.

The Divas match could very-well turn out to be the best female match in WrestleMania history.
