Recap

Hell in a Cell has come and gone and all the fallout took place on Monday Night Raw:

The Authority comes out first to put over Seth Rollins. In turn, The Champ puts over Triple H and Stephanie. Triple H announces that a new #1 Contender will be named by night’s end. Roman Reigns interrupts and claims that he will emerge the new #1 Contender.

Roman Reigns vs. Kofi Kingston

There was no doubt here who would walk out the winner: Roman Reigns would not only fight off Big E but take out Kofi Kingston for the victory.

Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro

It is damn near impossible for Kevin Owens and Cesaro to put on a bad match; another great bout here with Kevin Owens picking up the victory.

Team P.C.B. vs. Team Bella

The girls looked solid throughout this bout which was eventually won by Nikki Bella. Following the match, Paige would finally fully turn on Charlotte and Becky Lynch.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Neville

This international match would provide quick-paced action which eventually saw Alberto Del Rio score the pinfall victory.

The Dudley Boyz and Ryback vs. King Barrett, Rusev, and Sheamus

This was a rather bland six-man tag team match that felt more like filler than competition. Barrett rolls up Bubba for the three count.

Bray Wyatt emerges in the ring to explain his actions against The Undertaker. Wyatt states that the demise of The Undertaker has become his resurrection. Wyatt is interrupted by Kane before the rest of The Wyatt Family appears and take out ‘Taker’s brother.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Big E

A lot of back-and-forth action between these former allies that would culminate with a Zig Zag on Big E for the victory.

Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio (#1 Contender’s Match)

Plenty of scattered action throughout this match as all four men fought for their right to challenge Seth Rollins. Roman Reigns eventually hits The Spear on Kevin Owens to become the new #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Going Forward

Bray Wyatt has proven once again that he is currently the most interesting character in WWE. Another feud with The Undertaker should make for some interesting programming.

Charlotte vs. Paige has potential but the absence of Sasha Banks has become annoying. Banks needs to be included in the Divas Championship picture as she has proven her worth as a top female wrestler in the industry.

The WWE Machine has gotten back behind Roman Reigns but will they allow him to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship this time around? Here’s hoping that Seth Rollins retains.
