Recap

The final Monday Night Raw prior to Survivor Series has come and gone and here’s how to go-home action went down:

**Peace for Paris silence to begin the program**

The druids lead “The Brothers of Destruction” out to the ring … The Undertaker places The Wyatt Family on notice as Kane reiterates his brother’s point while discussing the “dark side” and the “fires of hell.”

The Wyatt Family are out next to address The Undertaker and Kane. Bray Wyatt states that “twenty-five years has been long enough.” Wyatt mentions how a “new army” will emerge; his army. The lights go out … come back on … the druids are wearing sheep masks. They attack The Undertaker and Kane but are quickly cleared of the ring.

Kevin Owens vs. Neville (Quarterfinal Match)

Two guys who were brought through the NXT system showcased their wrestling ability during this match as Kevin Owens and Neville were electric. Owens wins the Pop Up Powerbomb.

Tyler Breeze vs. R-Truth

R-Truth remains entertaining but was obviously placed in this match to lose to the upstart Tyler Breeze; which is exactly what happened.

Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler (Quarterfinal Match)

This would prove to be a really strong match-up between two under-appreciated talents. Dean Ambrose would win following some great back-and-forth action.

The New Day vs. The Usos and Ryback

Six-man tag team action with all the usually gyrating and trombone playing from The New Day. Not terrible but far from great. Ryback shoves the ref in a fit of rage causing the DQ.

Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro (Quarterfinal Match)

Hard-fought match: Cesaro looked like a star while Roman Reigns looked really strong and eventually scored the victory.

The Dudley Boyz vs. The Ascension

Purpose here? None. This was simply a filler match. It is still nice to see The Dudley Boyz though who won with the 3D.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Kalisto (Quarterfinal Match)

There would be no Cinderella story for Kalisto as Alberto Del Rio would take this match. However, the bout would see some solid action from both men involved.

-Contract Signing Between Charlotte and Paige-

Charlotte discusses how both she and Paige grew up “unlike most little girls” watching their parents wrestle. Charlotte mentions the death of her little brother in an emotional speech.

Paige plays the role of the heartless opponent while Charlotte states that she will not lose the Divas Championship this Sunday. Paige then goes on to insult Ric Flair before stating that Charlotte’s “little baby brother didn’t have much fight in him.”

This sends Charlotte into a violent rage as she attacks Paige and must be restrained by officials as Raw comes to a close.

Going Forward

There would be no Cinderella story for Kalisto as Alberto Del Rio would take this match. However, the bout would see some solid action from both men onvolved.

On a personal note: I will be rooting for Kevin Owens this Sunday. On a realistic note: I know better than to have hope with WWE.

Chances are Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose will face off to determine the new WW World Heavyweight Champion; a somewhat fitting conclusion as their former brother from The Shield was the man forced to vacate the gold in the first place.

The Wyatt Family going over “The Brothers of Destruction” seems unlikely at this point but should be strongly considered seeing as how The Undertaker and Kane have nothing to gain from winning this match.
