The road to WrestleMania is really ramping up now. The Raw that took place this past Monday is one of just three more episodes before we arrive in New Orleans for WrestleMania. In some cases it feels as if rivalries are ready to go and we should be there already and others feel as if we could do with six more weeks rather than just three. How did WWE creative build to the biggest show of the year on Raw this week? Any sign of Brock Lesnar? How about The Undertaker? Read on to find out in this week's Huge Takeaways from Monday Night Raw.
5. Brock Lesnar Finally Showed Up
Despite being scheduled to appear on the last two episodes of Raw there has been no sign of Brock Lesnar. When Roman Reigns questioned why that is, The Big Dog got suspended for his troubles. Despite his suspension Reigns still turned up on Raw this week and it didn't take long for US Marshalls to come to the ring to take him away. Once he was handcuffed the former WWE Champion lost his cool and fought them off. That's when Lesnar decided to arrive and went about dismantling a handcuffed Reigns. German suplexes, an assault with a steel chair, all capped off with an F5 on Lesnar's helpless WrestleMania opponent. Reigns was then strapped to a stretcher but The Beast wasn't done. The Universal Champion returned, shoved over the gurney and dragged Reigns across the floor. Then he really was done and The Big Dog was loaded into the back of an ambulance.
4. Alexa Bliss Only Just Managed To Escape Nia Jax
Asuka is performing double duty at the moment. Despite declaring that she will face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Title at WrestleMania she still has some loose ends to tie up on Raw. One of those loose ends is the red brand's Women's Champion Alexa Bliss who had the chance to end The Empress Of Tomorrow's undefeated streak on Monday night. Rather than give it a good honest go Bliss fled at the first sign of trouble, being counted out after Asuka allegedly hurt her ankle. It certainly didn't seem hurt during what came next. As Mickie James attempted to help the champ back to the locker room Nia Jax came running out looking for revenge. James was knocked flat by Jax but Bliss managed to escape through the WWE Universe, only just though. The Goddess won't be able to escape her at WrestleMania though as it's now official that she will have to defend the title against Jax.
3. Braun Strowman Needs A Partner For WrestleMania
Last week's Raw ended with Braun Strowman winning a battle royal. The significance of that is the match was supposed to determine which tag teams get to face The Bar for the Raw Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania, and Strowman won it all by himself. This week Kurt Angle regrettably informed The Monster Among Men that he can't compete for the titles by himself so he will need to find a partner. Who that lucky person will be is still anyone's guess but Sheamus and Cesaro seem pretty confident that they'll win the match no matter what. Strowman took them down a peg or two on Monday though. The Swiss Cyborg had to go one on one with Raw's Resident Monster and despite lasting longer than most might have predicted a quick but devastating running power slam brought a swift end to the match.
2. John Cena Is Still Waiting For An Answer
John Cena wants a match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania. He has made that abundantly clear and it seems as if the sixteen time World Champion will be coming to the ring every week to reiterate that wish. Cena once again tried to hit some places close to him when it came to his latest promo on The Deadman, questioning why he can't simply say yes or no and instead is choosing not to respond at all. Cena even said that he would settle for a sign like the lights going out or a lightning streak. It was shortly after that when Cena thought he got the message he so craved. The Phenom's half brother Kane came to the ring but unfortunately he didn't have anything to say. Instead he merely chokeslammed Big Match John and then left again.
1. Bray Wyatt Has Been DELETED!
Any fans who have been watching the Broken Universe unfold since its humble beginnings in Impact Wrestling will have likely found it very surreal watching the main event of Monday night's Raw. The Ultimate Deletion between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt. The final chapter in the great war. The Eater Of Worlds arrived at The Hardy Compound and he could not have known what he was in for. All of the old cast of characters from Impact returned and even Jeff Hardy made a cameo appearance. Wyatt actually looked to be in the process of wrapping things up when Hardy's loyal soldiers came to his aid. Distractions from Jeff, Vanguard One and Senor Benjamin meant The Woken One could hit the former WWE Champion with a Twist Of Fate and pick up the win. Hardy then proceeded to dump Wyatt into the Lake of Reincarnation, declaring the war to be over as Raw went off the air.
