RAW Underground is still an unknown aspect of WWE programming at the moment, and the jury is still out on if it will be a successful part of the show. However, it certainly has the potential to be a good part of the show and could feature many different RAW wrestlers who want a shot at being on television. So far, wrestlers like Shayna Baszler and Shelton Benjamin have spent time on RAW Underground and will hopefully get more chances to appear on the show.

Combining RAW Underground with the Attitude Era—which is WWE's most infamous era for great programming—would surely be a recipe for greatness. With some of the biggest stars from WWE appearing from 1999 onward, there would surely be some that would dominate. However, some would also fall flat on their faces. The only question is, who would be the ones who would come out on top?

10 Would Do Well: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin was most well-known for being a no-nonsense brawler during his reign on top of WWE. His punches, kicks, and his ability to dish out offense was his calling card in the ring, helping to earn him six WWE Championship wins. The Texas Rattlesnake was capable of defeating opponents much larger than him due to his inability to quit against obstacles, which not only made him incredibly popular, but would allow him to thrive in an underground arena.

9 Would Fail: Jeff Jarrett

Despite being technically sound in the ring, a betting man would say that a country singer would struggle in a no holds barred fight. Jeff Jarrett was never known as a brawler and preferred to either work on the mat or with a guitar as a weapon. However, in a fight with opponents much bigger than him, he would wind up K-N-O-C-K-E-D  O-U-T.

8 Would Do Well: Ken Shamrock

The moniker of "The World's Most Dangerous Man" did not come from out of nowhere; Ken Shamrock is a legitimate force when it comes to fighting and has the mixed-martial-arts background and record to prove it. His long tenure in MMA has led him to a 28-17 record, but those wins came at his prime where he was legitimately dangerous in the octagon and was feared by opponents.

7 Would Fail: X-Pac

Although he claimed to have a background in hand-to-hand combat, the monsters that have been seen on RAW Underground so far would make quick work of X-Pac. As one of the smaller wrestlers from the Attitude Era, X-Pac regularly struggled against opponents larger than him. However, in a world where there are no rules governing the matches, he would last even less time than he did in the ring.

6 Would Do Well: Bradshaw

While there are many instances of him being less than fun to work with backstage, there is one thing that is certain: Bradshaw knows how to fight better than just about anyone. As a former football player, the large Texan knows how to throw punches and dismantle opponents with his size and strength. He may not be the most well-liked person, but he would certainly dominate in RAW Underground.

5 Would Fail: The Mean Street Posse

Rodney, Joey Abs, and Pete Gas were friends of Shane McMahon from the upper-class era of Greenwich, Connecticut who tried their hands in the ring. However, things went about as well as people imagined they would, as the Mean Street Posse were little more than goons who failed in the ring. With little in the way of career accomplishments besides short Hardcore Championship reigns, the Posse would quickly fizzle if they had to fight in an environment where anything goes.

4 Would Do Well: Owen Hart

While RAW Underground is known currently as an environment where anything is legal,  good mat wrestler who knows how to take down their opponent would still be able to dominate. As one of the best mat wrestlers that WWE has ever seen, Owen Hart would surely come out on top of a fight where he would systematically dismantle his opponent with takedowns and holds.

3 Would Fail: Gillberg

Gillberg flexing in his Goldberg gear

Despite having the longest-reigning Light-Heavyweight Championship reign to his record, Duane "Gillberg" Gill also has one of the lowest winning percentages of a WWE wrestler ever. As a very inept wrestler, Gillberg would likely have an even worse career in RAW Underground than he did as a champion of a division. Thankfully, at 61 years old, Gillberg has retired from the ring, so fans won't have to see him try his hand at a real fight.

2 Would Do Well: Steve Blackman

As a legitimate shoot-fighter, Steve Blackman's persona in the ring was not an act. In fact, Blackman was just as much of a badass during his WWE tenure, as he is as a tae kwon do fighter. RAW Underground has not featured anyone with Blackman's background as of yet, and he would surely still be able to run with the best of them.

1 Would Fail: Meat

shawn-stasiak

Despite having a great physique and a wrestling pedigree, Stasiak was never able to achieve much success in the ring. In fact, he was known much more for his antics as the "boy-toy" of the Pretty Mean Sisters or as the deranged Planet Stasiak than he was for his work in the ring. While his strength may lead to him doing better than others in RAW Underground, he would not be an odds-on favorite for long-term success.
