As a true underdog and the ultimate babyface, Mysterio has been the target for plenty of wrestlings greatest ever heels, with things tending to get violent plenty of the time as well. 10 Big Show

Who can forget the feud between Big Show and Rey Mysterio from 2003? The visuals alone from their battles were iconic as the Giant towered over his smaller opponent and the classic David vs Goliath storyline was told.

However, when Goliath is able to swing weapons around he becomes even more dangerous, and that tended to be the case during this epic feud that did a great job of entertaining the masses.

Few will forget the unbelievable moment where Big Show strapped Mysterio to a stretcher and smashed it against the ring post, in what was a very violent feud indeed.

9 Alberto Del Rio

When Alberto Del Rio first arrived in WWE it was Rey Mysterio who he went after, with the two legendary Mexican wrestlers quickly doing battle in what was a dream feud for many diehard wrestling fans.

However, it was clear from the start that Del Rio wasn't going to be a wrestler who just wanted to put on good matches as he constantly went after Rey's arm, eventually putting him on the shelf with an injury.

The two men continued their violent feud on and off throughout the entire time they were both in WWE, and whilst it never really got to the level it should have done, it was certainly a violent one for Rey.

8 CM Punk

In 2010 Rey Mysterio entered in a feud with CM Punk who, at the time, was the leader of the Straightedge Society who took umbrage over the fact that Mysterio would hide his identity behind a mask.

That is a story that has been told plenty of times when it comes to the Master of 619, but they added new elements to it, with Punk bringing Mysterio's family into the mix with creepy promos like when he sang happy birthday to his son.

The idea was that Punk would do anything to recruit Mysterio into his cult but in the end with this rivalry, it would be Mysterio who had the last laugh, shaving Punk's head bald.

7 Cody Rhodes

Even though the new AEW star is making headlines for unprotected chair shots to the head or his equally violent match with Dustin Rhodes, Cody Rhodes' violent streak may have all started in his rivalry with Rey Mysterio in WWE.

Starting after Mysterio accidentally injured Rhodes by catching him in the face with his knee brace, Rhodes would return to WWE no longer dashing, instead, wearing a mask which he would use as a weapon against the WWE veteran.

The two men then engaged in a violent feud from that point onwards which included a fantastic Falls Count Anywhere match at Extreme Rules in 2011 where they really brawled everywhere around the arena.

6 The Great Khali

The chances are, most people forgot about the feud between Rey Mysterio and The Great Khali, because fans have tried to push Khali's run with the company out of their minds due to how boring it was.

However, when the Punjabi Playboy first arrived in WWE he was built like an absolute monster who nobody could stop, picking up major victories against some top names, and Rey Mysterio became a victim.

Khali would often go around and literally squash the heads of his rivals, and this created an incredible visual when Mysterio ended up spewing blood due to the pain.

5 Kane

The Big Red Monster enjoyed a push back to the main event scene in 2010, becoming the World Heavyweight Champion once again for what was his best reign with the title throughout his legendary career.

But that title run would come at a cost for Rey Mysterio who would be forced into a top storyline with Kane that turned into a very violent one, especially once Kane started blaming Rey for The Undertaker's vegetative state.

This was mainly a side story in order to pass the time until the Deadman rose again to feud with Kane, but things still got violent and Rey had to try and overcome the odds.

4 Randy Orton

The Viper has always had a nasty streak and seemingly everyone who gets in his way tends to find out about it, but his heel run in 2019 has been incredible, bringing Randy Orton right back to his very best.

Unfortunately for those who have gone against him, he has been back at his most violent during that time. From ripping Jeff Hardy's ear with a screwdriver to waterboarding him, Orton showed he wasn't messing around.

Mysterio found that out for himself when he became Orton's latest target as he ripped away at Rey's masks and trapped his head inside a chair, throwing him head first into the ring post as it snapped.

3 Chris Jericho

The feud between Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio took place when Jericho really was performing at his absolute peak as he truly was the best in the world, which made this a very engaging and memorable rivalry.

During their battles Jericho became obsessed with Mysterio's mask, even pulling it off in a very cool reversal to his 619 finishers, but things certainly got violent between them as well.

The two men had some memorable matches and brawls in what was one of Rey's more violent feuds as Jericho showed why he was one of the top heels in the entire world at that point in time.

2 Batista

Batista might have hung his wrestling boots up after a violent match against Triple H at WrestleMania 35, but that isn't the only time the Animal has been unleashed against a former friend, as Rey Mysterio found out in 2010.

Mysterio and Batista have been tag team partners and bitter enemies throughout their careers, and in 2010 the masked wrestler found himself on Batista's bad side as the two battled it out in a variety of stipulation matches.

From wrestling inside a steel cage to their street fight, the two men brought the best out of each other, with Mysterio being forced to show a more violent and creative edge to himself to combat Batista's strength and size advantage.

1 Eddie Guerrero

Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero went through everything together during their lives, and whilst it is well known that they were best friends off-screen, on-screen they had quite a different relationship.

The two men had some incredible matches against each other throughout their careers in both WWE and WCW, from just straight wrestling matches to the more violent encounters which came during the custody storyline.

Whilst it might have been controversial, it is certainly well remembered with wrestling fans still talking about the brutal fallout they both had as they battled over Dominic's custody, with their ladder match being the peak.
