Ric Flair Hospitalized, Rep Says "We Need Prayers"

Ric Flair was admitted to hospital over the weekend and judging by the latest tweet from his management team it may be pretty serious.

The first reports that Ric Flair had been admitted to hospital first started to emerge on Saturday night. Legacy Talent deal with The Nature Boy and the CEO, Melinda Zanoni, originally tweeted out during the early hours of Sunday morning thanking hospital staff and Flair's fiancée, as well as declaring that 'Naitch was only admitted for routine monitoring. Well, a little over 24-hours later, Zanoni tweeted again, and the situation appears to be much more worrying.

The follow-up tweet revealed more details about why Flair was admitted to the hospital, and that the sixteen time World Champion is in intensive care struggling with some tough medical issues, in other words, something far beyond routine monitoring. Despite the extra information, it's still unclear exactly why Flair has been hospitalized.

The second tweet from the Legacy Talent CEO featured the above as well as asking anyone who is a fan of Flair or considers him a friend to pray for him and send positive energy his way. Aside from those two tweets, Zanoni has posted absolutely nothing via Twitter since the news of Flair being admitted to hospital first emerged.

Flair is a two time WWE Hall of Famer, sixteen time World Champion, and many would argue the greatest professional wrestler of all time. During his long and storied career, he unashamedly partied pretty hard and seemingly still does to some extent to this day. By his own admission in his book, Ric Flair: To Be The Man, he has previously suffered from heart issues linked to alcohol use. Although unconfirmed it's likely that's what may have landed him in the hospital currently.

Not knowing more at this point is extremely frustrating for fans, let alone his family. Charlotte Flair is currently in China doing promotional work for WWE with the Network launching there later this week. Like myself, I'm sure that everyone has their fingers crossed that The Nature Boy pulls through whatever it is that has seen him hospitalized.
