2017 was almost the year that we lost one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time, Ric Flair. If it wasn't for The Nature Boy then the pro wrestling landscape as we know it today would be extremely different. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Triple H are just three huge names whose careers were inspired and shaped by the 16 time World Champion.

Back to last summer however and it really seemed like Naitch was not long for this world. Flair was rushed to hospital and the outlook was bleak. Apparently his chances of survival were around 20 percent. Here we are almost six months later though and thankfully The Nature Boy is still with us. Not only that but he seems to be back to his old self. He has already been on WWE television since being hospitalized and will also be on Raw's 25th anniversary show.

Flair has continued to prove to his fans that he is better than ever this week by recreating one of his most famous promos. The video has been created in conjunction with a new t-shirt now available on his website and focuses around spilt liquor. Naitch informs those watching that he has spent more on spilt liquor than they have earned in the last year. Considering how great a promo guy Flair was (and clearly still is) it really says something when one of them stands out above all the others.

When the two-time Hall of Famer first cut this promo, chances are for most people watching it, Flair's words would have been true. In the present day it most definitely is not though. Flair's excessive drinking throughout his life is one of the main reasons he wound up in hospital last year, and upon his recovery he announced that he had given up alcohol. A wise choice and one that we assume he has kept to.

The wrestling world owes a lot to Ric Flair and we are extremely lucky that he is still with us. Not only can we relive all of his greatest promos on the WWE Network, but Naitch is still recreating them for us in person to this day. Look out for him on Raw this coming Monday, hopefully he will have a big role to play on the show.
