Ricochet is arguably the best high-flier in wrestling today (Will Ospreay is likely the only contender to the crown), and he’s recently been signed to the WWE. And (spoiler alert), it looks like he’s going to be a huge part of NXT going forward, as he’s involved in the ladder match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans to crown the first ever NXT North American Championship. But going forward, we believe that he should be involved with 205 Live and it’s rejuvenation.

Ever since Triple H and Drake Maverick have become involved with the product, it has been fantastic. At WrestleMania 34, we are going to see a new champion crowned to culminate what has been a great Cruiserweight title tournament. But following that, injecting someone like Ricochet could just elevate the product even further. Sure, like others currently wrestling on 205 Live Ricochet doesn’t have the best character, but the crowds all around the world know him, and his offense consists of a jaw-dropping aerial arsenal. He just exemplifies what 205 Live wants to be and that’s the most exciting hour on television.

With new additions like Mark Andrews, Hideo Itami and Buddy Murphy joining the cast of Alexander, Gulak, Nese, Gallagher and Ali, plus the rumored tag division coming, the WWE is allowing for plenty of fresh and exciting matchups. But they need depth and that’s exactly what Ricochet can provide, and opposing either someone like Gulak or a fellow high flier like Mustafa Ali, Ricochet will shine. But what would this mean for NXT?

Currently in developmental, you have stars like Almas, Black, Cole, Velveteen Dream, Dain, Sullivan, EC3, Dunne, Strong and guys like Donovan Dijak, Axel Dieter Jr. and Lio Rish waiting to make their mark. So Ricochet really doesn’t have to be there, but that brand only has a taping every 3-4 weeks, so if he is needed in NXT, who’s to say he can’t pull double duty? With the tag team division coming up, it looks like Roderick Strong may become a permanent part of 205 Live as well as NXT (maybe with his Dusty Rhodes Classic partner Pete Dunne?), and a few other guys may have to do the same (Lio Rush is an obvious candidate). So this could lead to some fantastic matches which is really what 205 Live has been providing as of late.

Basically, it all boils down to this: 205 Live wants to be exciting and draw the crowds in, and who has done that more over the past decade than Ricochet? He is a guy who can pull out different jaw-dropping moves on a nightly basis as well as sell brilliantly for his opponents. He will have the best matches, he will get crowds further talking about what a fantastic product 205 Live has already become, and simply put, Ricochet on 205 Live is best for business.

So what do you guys think? Would Ricochet pulling double duty maybe take the shine off him a little? Would you prefer to see him solely in NXT, or catapulted right to the main roster? Let us know all your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below.
